Inquire Within EP is out today on @fine.stdio.

Inspired by my meditation practice, this 3 track EP is best enjoyed from front to back. Take a break from the screen, turn on your favorite sound system, close your eyes & enjoy.

It has been a long long time since my last release and I am relieved to start sharing what I have been writing these past few years.

I made this track in anticipation of the Lunar New Year. It signifies the transformative nature of the Snake. I am so excited for you to hear it. Titled “Tears of the Snake / 蛇之淚“, the track sheds many tears in the delicate process of leaving the old and embracing the new.

Musically, it is a deviation from the usual 4-on-the-floor dance music I know and love. It explores an avenue of dance music that fuses Asian instruments and textures with rich timbral synthesizers.

The entire budget surrounding this release is committed to assisting the friends & families affected by the LA fires. Please directly message me their GoFundMe or donation page so I can contribute.

Here it is—our final Mengzy Selects of 2024 and, yes, we’ve got some impressive tunes to round up the year.

This line-up delivers (as expected) with breakbeat energy and soaring builds in a killer remix of ‘Clutch’, dreamy Y2K vibes on ‘Typhoon Tune’, and jazzy grooves layered with live riffs in ‘Minor Sixth’.“Add the dark, driving bass of ‘Tear the Silence’ and the cinematic, techno-meets-Eastern flair of ’Next Stop / 下一站’, and you’ve got a must-hear mix to show off at the NYE gathering.
