ONE TIME FOR 45 👴🏼

The Jordan comeback year rotation was pretty damn solid. The older (and more grey) I get, the more I realize how important every human interaction truly is. To everyone I spent time with and made memories with these last 12 months… thank you so much for enriching my year and my life.

Onto the next one.

One Sunday evening you’ll find yourself at dinner with friends and ask “can you find us a way to ethically adopt a Bernese Mountain Dog?” And then said friend will find you one in 10 minutes that you go and rescue 6 days later.

Major shoutout to @bohemianratcity / @johnpaulbones / @itsjustjared for being the right people that know the right people 🖤

Also major shoutout to @bordertailsrescue for bringing this guy into our lives. After Tuna passed we knew we were going to take our time finding the next big goofball and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. He’s truly the best we could have hoped for.

To new adventures with @nonino_ontherocks 🫶🏼

Your dog told us they wanted you to enjoy a nice, cold beer at Solemn Oath this stunning Monday afternoon. They said you earned it. They also said to bring treats for them. We did not say any of this. Your dog did. They are very wise. You should listen to them.

Chicago Art Week is here, and we’re excited to bring our sound back to Fox Bar with K.Hsia playing all night — Deep cuts, proper Chicago grooves, and that intimate energy we love. Come through, grab a drink, and let’s kick off the week the right way this Wednesday 4/8 from 9.30pm

HOAGIE + PIZZA OMAKASE 🥖🍕🍷

The Hoagie Room at Pizzeria Beddia is truly a one-of-one dining experience. A private, six seat dining space tucked behind the sprawling and always bustling Beddia dining room, a dedicate hoagie host that feels like they become part of your party by the end of the night, and a spread of food and drink that is impossible to walk away from even remotely hungry… and completely blissed out.

If you’re planning a trip to Philly anytime in the near future, the Hoagie Room is a can’t miss experience. Much love to Joe and the crew for the unmatched hospitality… and the bonus roll for the road!

🎁 ✨A few weeks ago, several of us had a wild idea — to bring a little lightness into the world with our Chicago community by raising several thousand dollars for @nokidhungry — within a 10-day window.

🙏We really didn’t give operators much notice. We hoped they’d understand. We hoped they’d trust us and the greater vision. And they did!

🙌 Together, we’re closing out 2025 on a high note — with love, generosity, and community, even in a tough year.

🍝 Early this week we gathered at @eatatmano broke bread, and celebrated the goodness we have with one another through these shared friendships.

✌️Community matters. Kindness matters. Thank you to everyone who made this fundraiser possible and to everyone who continues to show up.

♥️A good reminder that there is *always goodness in the world; pause, look up, and look around. it's there.
Send a friend a text today and let them know you’re thinking of them. 🤍

FINAL HOAGIE COUNT: 17 🥖

Tore up Gritty’s city with a few of my favorite gremlins this long Thanksgiving weekend. Haven’t spent this much time back ‘home’ in a while and it was as deliciously rad as this carousel would suggest. Old familiar haunts, modern Philly staples, and plenty of spots I’d never been before made for one hell of a trip.

Thanks are due to our buds from Pray Tell Wines for letting us crash the family tailgate and hosting us at the winery, our guy and yours Brandon Thrash for the insane meal at Midde Child Clubhouse, and Joe and John at Pizzeria Beddia for making our final dinner so damn insane and making the Hoagie Room omakase experience one for the books.

Until next time… go Birds! 🦅
