First session in El Sunzal !!! Here is an absolutely stunning Gordon & Smith HYNSON RedFin! The Gordon & Smith RedFin was designed by Mike Hynson around 1965 in San Diego. It became one of G&S’s most recognizable mid-’60s models and was ridden by members of the famous “RedFin Army,” including Skip Frye, Billy Hamilton, and Barry Kanaiapuni. The design represented the shift toward more progressive, performance-oriented surfing during the mid-1960s. This board is a unique one with no serial numbers, it was purchased from a friend of Hynson who can’t remember if it was left at his house or he ordered it. The board has been stored away for at least the last 35+ years and remains in unbelievably clean all original condition with a cool story! 10’ x 23.25” x 3”+ #gordonandsmith #hynsonsurfboards #mikehynson #sandiego #surfhistory
