FALL LEAGUE PLAYOFFS • WEEK 7 Three games, three fights. Nobody went quietly. 7:00 — City Boys 60, The D Team 55 (OT)
The 3–4 matchup delivered exactly what a 3–4 matchup should. The D Team came out making shots and the physicality was obvious from the opening possession — win or go home changes how a guy closes out. City Boys led by six at the break, still short-handed but rolling a real squad. Fatigue set in after halftime and it went back and forth until The D Team had a chance to win it in regulation and couldn’t convert. Two minutes of overtime. Porter scored, got a stop, scored again, and put City Boys up four with fifty seconds left. The D Team had to foul, and City Boys made them pay from the line. Clutch free throws end seasons. 8:00 — Western Pavement 69, Team Thursday 66
Another three-point game, same playoff intensity. Western Pavement had the size advantage and went to it all night, scoring inside until Team Thursday ran out of answers. 9:00 — Stallions 77, Sweetermans 66
Same script the Stallions have run all year: slow start, look half-asleep, fall behind, then go on a run nobody can stop. Credit Sweetermans — the six seed fought, stayed in it, and kept their energy up from Week 1 to the final whistle. The Stallions were just too much. CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT. TONIGHT. Eight weeks down to two games. 7:00 — Semifinal. Western Pavement v. City Boys. Winner gets 30 minutes to catch their breath and a shot at the title. 8:30 — The Final. The Stallions earned the bye the hard way: 6–0, never lost a game, never really got tested. They’re sitting fresh and waiting to see who walks out of the 8 o’clock. Everybody else is already home. Champs get Fini Pizza For Life. See you at The Oven , Everyone Eats tonight.

Outdoor dining season is not over yet and I refuse to let it go quietly. 🍝🌳 New York doesn’t get enough credit for its outdoor dining scene — backyards that make you forget what borough you’re in, sidewalks made for pure people-watching, and a few spots that do both. Swipe for 17 of our go-tos with a toddler in tow, from a Carroll Gardens backyard used for weddings to a West Village sidewalk where we’ve spotted Andy Cohen more than once. Full list on the Substack (link in bio) — because “eat outside weather” has maybe three weeks left and I need you all to use them wisely. Which one are you trying first?

Brooklyn, but make it tropical. 🍍✨🥃 @jimbeamofficial took over the Brooklyn and we definitely brought the party. Pineapple cocktails flowing, incredible music, delicious bites from @finipatiobar and, of course, the Jim Beam Pineapple Hot Honey White Pizza sweet, spicy and such a fun twist on a NYC classic. 🍕🍍 Good people, great energy and one of those summer nights that reminds you there’s nothing quite like partying in Brooklyn with the Manhattan skyline as your backdrop. And yes… pineapple absolutely belonged on the pizza that night. 😏🍍🍕 📸 @cathyhoo @joeywang__ #JimBeam #JimBeamPineapple #JimBeamPineappleBeach #BrooklynNYC #BrooklynNights FiniPatioBar NYCEvents
