❤️ Thank you, Rockland!

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, the Rockland Community Against Hunger Summer Food Fundraiser raised $6,000 to support summer food distribution for families in the East Ramapo Central School District.

The funds were provided through the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and more than 150 families received food through a distribution organized by the school district.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated and helped make this possible. And thank you to East Ramapo Central School District for the important work you do to support students and families in our community—during the school year and throughout the summer.

When our community comes together, we can make sure that children and families have access to the food they need. 💙

Thank you for helping turn generosity into nourishment!

Join us on 10/01 at 3pm (EST) as we speak with SGT (Ret.) Matt Hill about the adverse effects of physical health challenges on the mental health of service members and veterans. Explore the hardships these individuals face and gain a deeper understanding about the connection between chronic pain/injury and depression. Finally, learn about what the path towards healing and hope looks like for those who find themselves in this situation.

💡 Once again, Rockland County showed up.

Yesterday, WEDC hosted Be Your Own Boss at Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley and it was a pleasure sharing that room with entrepreneurs ready to turn their ideas into real businesses.

Thank you to Rockland County for continuing to trust us to bring these workshops to the community, and to Finkelstein Memorial Library for hosting us. 💙

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to join Alexander R. Stewart on THE SITREP for an important conversation about military service, military sexual trauma, leadership accountability, mental health, healing, and what it means to continue moving forward.

During this episode, I shared parts of my own military journey, what happened when I reported sexual assault while serving, how leadership responded, the impact those experiences had on my life, and what I believe could—and should—be done differently for service members who find the courage to come forward.

But this conversation was also about what comes after.

Healing. Advocacy. Reclaiming your voice. Turning lived experience into purpose. And making sure the people who come behind us don’t have to feel unseen or unheard.

A heartfelt thank you to Alexander R. Stewart, Unspoken Words, LLC, and THE SITREP for giving me the space to have this conversation and share my story.

I also want to extend a special thank you to Maria Vanessa and the Finkelstein Memorial Library for their support and for helping make this conversation possible. Creating spaces where difficult stories can be heard and meaningful conversations can happen truly matters.

And thank you to everyone who tuned in, listened, asked questions, or continues to support these conversations.
