Bon anniversaire, Kevin Finklea! Wishing you an amazing year ahead!

🔛 Now on view — “Hidden In Plain Sight, Works From Our Collection”. This week we are featuring the work of Kevin Finklea.

🗓 Gallery Hours
Tuesday – Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Saturday: 12 PM – 5 PM

📍 145 North Second Street
Philadelphia, PA

Kevin Finklea’s paintings focus on color. By removing extraneous and unnecessary details, these works feature solid hues. Their scale and attention to composition serve to accentuate the already energized relationships between the colors he pairs. Finklea has a penchant for never making perfectly divided, equal spaces for color in his work. Sections are never exactly halved or quartered, and color, at times, equally indeterminate, is used to re-balance the unequal imbalanced sections. His paintings are made in response to two factors. After a relatively condensed period of painting objects, he wanted to make broader expanses of color that exploited the pigments he studied. Many of the colors used in these works are quite rare and in some cases no longer produced.

A year defined by momentum: exhibitions, art fairs, institutional recognition, press coverage, and your presence throughout.

✨ Exhibitions:
From our 2025 exhibitions to our current shows — “Flow States” by Lauren Mabry and “Chimera” by Sarah Pater (Nov–Jan 2026) — Pentimenti is where art is seen, discussed, questioned, and shared.

🌎 Art fairs:
We were proud to represent our artists at EXPO CHICAGO, NADA New York, and Untitled Art, Houston — bringing their work to the global stage and supporting the continued growth of their careers.

🏛 Acquisitions:
Kudos to the artists whose works were acquired by institutions — a milestone that reflects on the lasting impact of the artists we champion.

🗞️ Press:
Thanks to the press for the generous coverage of the gallery, exhibitions, and artists. We appreciate your support.

👤 You:
From Philadelphia to the broader world, thank you for making 2025 so special. It’s been a joy working with our artists, connecting with collectors and curators, and welcoming supporters. ⭐

Pentimenti is closed until January 3, 2026.
