Former Iowa State gymnast, Finley Weldon, was just a freshman when her college career was flipped upside down. Now, she’s finally found a new home at the University of New Hampshire 🥹 Congrats and good luck, Finley ❤️‍🔥

Each week, we will be highlighting a an athlete who is (publicly known) in the transfer portal. There’s so much talent remaining, and we want to showcase what’s out there — starting with Finley Weldon!

Finley is known for her stunning lines and flexibility on beam, where she would be a great asset to any team. She also shows tons of potential on floor!

Iowa State has announced that they will be discontinuing their gymnastics program. Our hearts go out to all of the athletes who are affected by this decision and we are wishing them all of the best in the future.

Peak performance happens when you block out the noise — the distractions, the pressure, the “what ifs,” and the outside opinions. When athletes are fully present, movements feel automatic & confidence rises. Instead of worrying about judges, scores, or who’s watching, they focus on the skill in front of them. That’s where breakthroughs happen.

Mental performance coaching teaches athletes exactly how to do this. Through tools like visualization, breath control, cognitive reframing, and intentional self-talk, they learn how to quiet the chaos and anchor themselves in the NOW. Staying present isn’t luck — it’s a trainable skill. And when athletes master it, they perform at their peak. 🔥
