Christopher Stowell’s The Sleeping Beauty. I had the best time performing this ballet with @orlandoballet. Thank you so much to all my friends, my amazing bluebird partner @maya_fazzari who I wouldn’t have made it through without!! And thank you to my lilac fairy @sav.grace_c. Can’t wait to see y’all in nutcracker soon 🥹🎉🌹

A few weeks ago, I experienced one of those special moments that reminds me why I love sharing knowledge and wisdom & being an educator.

Several former students came back to visit me at Houston Ballet Academy, and it brought me so much joy to see the wonderful artists and professionals they have become. What touched me most was hearing that they still use many of the exercises and concepts I taught and shared with them when they were students.

During their visit, we had the opportunity to work together again, revisiting those exercises and updating them with some of the latest ideas and training methods we are currently using at HBA.

As teachers, we hope that what we share will continue to help our students long after they leave the studio. Seeing these dancers return, still curious, still passionate, and still striving to grow, was deeply inspiring.

I am incredibly proud of them and grateful for the chance to reconnect, learn from each other, and celebrate how far they have come.

❤️🩰

Some simple truths:
-I have accepted that I am addicted to coffee (as you can see in almost every photo)
- Joel, Finn and I honourably and unashamedly named ourselves the three musketeers
- a good belly laugh is one of the greatest things in life.
- I am exceptionally lucky to have the most wonderful and truly special friends and family
- having people in your life that are genuinely happy for you and cheering you on is rare but when you find them they will always be there for you.
- and my god does the sun make a difference to my mood.

In La Fille mal gardée, there is more on stage than just romance and ballet slippers. There is also a motorbike and a scooter. 🛵

When the rehearsal period began, the Vespa had not yet arrived. That is when Motohobi came to the rescue, helping our dancers rehearse safely on a Super Soco electric scooter and prepare for the premiere.

A big thank you to Motohobi for the support!

The final four performances of the season take place in May. Come and see it for yourself!
