🏆♻️ WE WON A GREEN ARROW AWARD! 💚 We’re beyond honored to share that the California Product Stewardship Council awarded San Diego Brewcycling Collaborative the 2026 Green Arrow Award for Systems & Design Innovation! 🥹🙌 We received the award earlier this month at the California Resource Recovery Association Conference in San Diego @crra_endingwaste, surrounded by some of our favorite sustainability humans — including SDBC volunteers and board members who are also out there working on different initiatives to make San Diego a greener city and our little corner of the world a better place. 🌎💚 Spending a few days surrounded by people brainstorming solutions, sharing knowledge, asking hard questions and genuinely wanting to help each other solve our waste challenges was SO inspiring. 🙏🏼 SDBC is still a young, largely volunteer-powered organization, and creating solutions for hard-to-recycle materials is definitely not easy. Recognition like this reminds us that the work matters and motivates us to keep going, keep collaborating and keep pushing for better systems. ♻️ Thank you @calpsc for seeing value in what we’re building and for this incredible recognition. We are very, very grateful. 🥹💚 This is what sustainability is all about: collaboration. 🤝🌎♻️

This year, Societe Brewing took the reins and welcomed our BrewSCRAPS community into the brewery to make a refreshing Helles! ❤️🍺 We brewed, talked trash (literally 😅), shared Brewcycling updates, and celebrated BIG progress: we’re finally testing a transportation pilot with @itsplastic_beach to help move the hard-to-recycle plastics collected through BrewSCRAPS! 🚛♻️🙏🏼 Another reminder that collaboration is key to progress in sustainability. MUCHAS GRACIAS to our amazing hosts for our second annual Pink Boots Ensenada brew day! We made a coconut porter that’s gonna be so dang good, we’re talking maris otter malt, first wort hops, cool-pooling, and sabro for hop-derived coconut flavor! Nerd alert!! @cerveceriatranspeninsular Hosted us so graciously yet again and are making some exceptional beers down there! Gotta try the Tr*mp Don’t Surf IPL, and their award-winning Vienna lager!🤤 @cerveceriaaguamala tasted us through some really special beers in their taproom dedicated to marine life conservation! My fave was their saison-inspired Gruit made with locally foraged Yerba Santa instead of hops! @nortebrewingco in Tijuana invited us into their space that used to be a strip club (you can see where the pole was mounted still lol) A woman-owned space with speakeasy vibes in TJ with incredible views of the whole city-a must! @pinkbootssandiego community is one of one, number one.
