Some unseen video shots from my previous EROS AND THANATOS project 🌹

In this project the idea of love and death is demonstrated which is inspired by the Greek mythology gods, Eros (god of love) and Thanatos (god of death). The concept of the two opposite forces that drive us in life and give us meaning and purpose is revealed in a more personal and experiential way. Love and death build the phenomenon of life, what determines (starts and ends) someone’s life. This dual role is portrayed through the personal experience of a mother experiencing the loss of her lover and beloved son. How someone experiences loss, pain and death and the idea of living without the physical presence of someone anymore, but only their spirit is captured. Therefore,this is my interpretation of mourning through a personal experience, having as a muse a motherly figure, my grandmother Eleni, who lost her lover and son. A strong figure who managed to overcome the death of her loved ones and became stronger. I celebrate her life in this way and dedicate it to her.
