📢 Help us protect the future of per diems.

After eight years of campaigning, The Ivors Academy secured a landmark agreement with the UK’s major record labels in 2025, introducing £75 non-recoupable per diems for eligible songwriting sessions, alongside travel and accommodation expenses.

We secured this change, but we cannot be complacent.

The UK Government is now reviewing the impact of these payments, and we urgently need evidence to demonstrate why they matter and why they must be protected.

Whether you’ve received a per diem, applied unsuccessfully or never applied at all, we need to hear from you.

The more songwriters who respond, the stronger our evidence will be. We need to demonstrate that songwriters deserve to be paid for their work.

📝 Complete the short survey via the link in bio.
🔒 Responses are anonymous and confidential.
⏱️ Takes just a few minutes.

Help us protect what we fought so hard to achieve.

📣 Artist announcement!

What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than with friends, family and great music. We are so pleased to welcome the multi-platinum singer-songwriter @fionabevan to @brownandgreencafe in Crystal Palace Park.

With a delicate, passionate voice and a cinematic dream-folk sound, Fiona has been described by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA as ‘daring and exciting’, while The Guardian praised her as an artist who creates ‘startling odysseys that suggest Joanna Newsom, Kate Bush and Erykah Badu spine-tinglingly joined’.

Join us for a cosy, autumnal gig for the whole family.

Sunday 1st November from 2:45pm
Tickets on sale now via the link in bio
Under 5’s are free

Proper Gigs for Families

#livemusic #crystalpalace #families #kidsactivity

"Estamos descansados quando deixamos as coisas quietas.
Nos deixamos a nós quietos para ser o melhor de nós mesmos.
Descansar é preparar-me para dar o melhor de mim aos outros. "
David Whyte

Viver também é saber parar para sentir que estamos vivos.
É beber a vida, sim.
Mas sem pressa.
Sem querer chegar a todo o lado.

Só estar.
Sentir.
Respirar.
Deixar acontecer.

A few days up in the mountains, in the forest, being a KIND Angel @kindfamilygathering 🏵️💛✨🪽

A beautiful journey, meeting so, so many authentic, kind and loving souls. Falling deeply in love with the little ones and appreciating Mother Nature so much during those days. Endless barefoot walks, laughter and hangs with like-hearted people. Realising, letting go and keeping the heart wide open.

So glad the universe opened that window for me. It was truly heartwarming 💛
