I can’t quite put into words how achieving a life long goal feels. But I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity and support to tick this one off. Especially with an incredible group of girls by my side.

It’s an honour to make it to this point in my career in the snowsports industry, to pass the level 4 was something I felt would be the pinnacle of what can be achieved as an instructor, but what i’ve now come to realise is just the beginning of a whole new set of challenges, chances to grow and opportunities to progress even further.

It’s incredible to have shared this experience with some inspiring women who have shown me how important it is that we stick together and have each others backs. How we deserve to be here and take up space. We set the record last winter for the most females in a level 4 APSI snowboard exam, and i believe that two females have never passed the level 4 at the same time. But here we are making it happen.

I couldn’t have done it without everyone who believed in me, pushed me, encouraged me and challenged me. My family who saw how much I love this sport and this industry, and have since I was a kid, who supported me to teach snowboarding as my first job back in 2014. The trainers who have had so much impact along the way in shaping my riding, my mindset and teaching philosophies. My friends who have picked me up and put me back together more times than i can count, who’ve dealt with the tears, anxiety, self doubt, frustration, injuries, anger, exhaustion and every other emotion under the sun. My students who have listened to me, and allowed me to share my passion for snowboarding, and be part of their journey on snow.

I am forever grateful for the support of @girosnowaus , and @lepicerie_agency (@pictureorganicclothing).

Most of all i couldnt have made it here without the hype, support and community that having so many beautiful, strong women by my side has created. It’s pretty special, and i’m so thankful to be ripping along side you all.

Enjoy this immortalised memory of carb loading, group hugs, singing, woohoos, dancing, crying which all amounts to the sum of the APSI level 4 🫶🏻❄️🏂

Sometimes I wonder if I didn’t adult hard enough and landed in a place where I truly enjoying what I do. I see and hear stories of people being chased by life, but I am creating mine. Slowly, one step at a one adventure at a time. Not everything is perfect, but nobody is perfect.

16 yr old me could never have thought this was a pathway. 16 yr old me had never stepped on skis, been to the top of a mountain. But she had dreams. Along the way skiing was presented as a fun opportunity, a once in a lifetime experience. It was something that was supposed to be a temporary and short lived, but somehow turned into such a big part of her life.
