A fantastic time of words & pictures at @readtome_ last night! It’s been too long since I’ve gone to one, & they never disappoint: the work on display is always interesting, thought-provoking & at times, hilarious, & at times, full of all the feels. Looking forward to the next one (which I think is part of @scampcomicsfestival in November)!

An amazing and inspiring weekend had at @comicstreetau . What a community of comic creators we have in Australia!! Great turnout both days and everyone was busy. Massive thanks to the amazing team of @comicstreetau who worked hard to make this possible and give creators a platform. Thank you. Proud of my buddy @carotocomics on a successful first convention appearance. And stoked that cover artist @chris_lavallee came by and did some signings and sketches. So cool to be neighbours with @timmcewen and @pmason83 and watch two of the finest in Oz at work. Inspired by the creators, the people and experiences to remind one how good creating is. Mahalo!

Last night the comics legend @fionnmccabe organised a super-vibrant comics get-together at the @knoxstreetbar!!!! What a buzz to introduce #theFriendshipParadxYA to a friendly crowd of makers and creators, have a chat with Fionn about spreadsheet brains, and draw the night away in excellent company! Thank you lovely Sydney humans for joining us, and for these most excellent snaps. 💥 I am grateful to @cits_wa for making my trip, and this rad event possible. 💥 #loveozya #aussiecomics #scicomm #readtome @allenandunwin

Tomorrow we’re going to be at our first writer’s festival at @addiroad ! To have visual storytelling like comics and cartoons recognised like this is something to celebrate. So do it. In the crowd. If someone could bring a piñata that would be epic. NO party poppers, though. Fionn is scared of loud noises. Link to tickets + all the event info is in our bio!
