POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just a few days before our first EVER @filofiesta at @hayestheatreco_official we had a costuming emergency! The outfits we had ordered would not arrive in time for the show! 😭 But illustrating the generosity and let’s-go energy of our extended Filo-Australian fam so beautifully, the dream team at @mestizafilipina.co stepped in to save the day - and to ensure that our ensemble & hosts were serving full #swagapino vibes 💚💜🩷

Here’s a little flashback from the unwrapping feat. @sabinafelias @alcmgbsn @rebekahsisonn @adenabeleda & @fiorellabamba plus matching iced ube matchas from @greenknowe.cafe.syd 💁🏽‍♀️

Literally in awe of all the people I worked with on this weekend and thank you to my beautiful angel fake daughter @alexxgonzalezz for being my fake child one last time. Finally starting to feel fine about the quirky, adhd, too deep in thought but also forgetting to turn the bath off but also existential crisis TMI type of girl i always was… and probably always will be ✨. If you’ve been on the journey with me and stuck around… i wanna say thank you 🙏🏼💙 - B T S AFTERPICZ FOLLOW

A moment to celebrate just some of the incredible guest artists we’ve been so fortunate to welcome to QCD in 2026!

Alongside our exceptional weekly team of teachers, choreographers, creatives and mentors, this year we have had the privilege of welcoming an inspiring line-up of guest artists to create, mentor, teach and share their invaluable industry experience with our cohorts.

Each artist brings something unique into our studios - new perspectives, knowledge, creativity and experiences that challenge and inspire our students as they continue to grow as young artists.

We are incredibly grateful to every member of our teaching and creative community, both our dedicated weekly faculty and the guest artists who spend time with us throughout the year. Your passion, generosity and commitment are at the very heart of our programs and play such an important role in shaping the next generation of artists.

To our teachers, choreographers, creatives and mentors - we thank you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you!

This show was a lifetime event. Performing in an all-Filipinx cabaret alone felt so out of reach- and then @adenabeleda and @victoria_falconer made it happen at the @hayestheatreco_official Festival of New Work.

There are no words to describe the gratitude I have been given the opportunity to perform at the inaugural @filofiesta. I met a group of incredible people who quickly became a family who didn't question if I was Filipino enough which was a major healing event. I've always struggled to connect to my Filipinx roots and at times I questioned if I would ever find community.

A special shoutout to the ensemble I rehearsed intensely with and performed alongside. I cherish you divas with my whole heart.

This event proved that despite the pressures of cultural assimilation and racial violence, our community finds love and family and shares it proudly. That despite who you are where you come from, there will always be a people that will advocate for you so fiercely and passionately, and that's a legacy that I will continue.

Goodbye to one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
This show found me at just the right time in my life and made so many of little Rebecca’s dreams come true. It was an absolute honour to work with the creatives and cast that I did. Thankyou to @lisacampbellcasting, @michaelcasselgroup and everyone that decided to trust me with little Skye 💚🍪
I learnt so SO MUCH from @jacclaude @kirstenkingkk @anthony_barnhill and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve made life long friends and we had it just SO GOOD DIDN’T WE!? I don’t know if I’ll ever get to experience a show like this again. I’ll miss the laughs, the cookies, the pig, screlting on the staircase, dancing with the clones, the list goes on…but I will miss the people most of all x
Till the next one, you bunch of weirdos 👻🖤
