In the early hours of December 20th, our beautiful baby boy joined our little family. He was born in the water, next to a glowing fire with his dad, my sister and our dear midwife by our sides. Labor was intense, fast and exactly as it was meant to be. We are so enthralled with this little being and could not imagine our lives any other way. He’s beyond perfect.

Nearly 10 weeks ago, on July 10th, I walked into the woods amongst our precious families and joined flames with the most beautiful, kind-hearted, hilariously-punny, and creative man I know.
He is My Mountain,

I thought about you all day yesterday. My heart swelling with joy and my eyes with tears as you walked into your future, hand in hand with the man you love. I wish I had been there with you, sister. I wanted to braid your hair with flowers and seen how beautiful you looked bathed in that forest light, the tree branches dancing in celebration of your love.

I thought about you yesterday, while talking to these flowers. They reminded me of you. The way they moved and turned more brilliant with age. The way they grew tall with movement in their hips and how freely they shared all their seeds with me.

I wish I had been there with you, sister. And I was. I was there, in the forest floor, soft beneath your feet. I was there, in the smell of resin from the trees. I was there, in the breeze that billowed your dress and in the sunlight that warmed your face.

For there is no distance, nor time or space

Hey all! I realize that I have completely deserted this space for the past 8 months or so... Thanks to everyone who’s stuck around🥰
