È sabato, il centro di Firenze è pieno di turisti, famiglie e fiorentini che vogliono semplicemente godersi una passeggiata o un pomeriggio di shopping.

E invece cosa si trovano davanti? Vetrine blindate, negozi barricati e commercianti costretti a proteggere le proprie attività per paura di quello che potrebbe accadere.

Siamo ancora in piena stagione turistica, con migliaia di persone che affollano le strade del centro. Ci sono lavoratori, commessi e commesse che hanno il diritto di svolgere il proprio lavoro in tranquillità, senza dover temere per la propria sicurezza.

Manifestare è un diritto. Ma lo è anche poter vivere la propria città senza paura.

È inconcepibile che, in occasione di manifestazioni non autorizzate, si possa arrivare a una situazione in cui intere vie commerciali si preparano al peggio.

Firenze non può diventare una città che si barrica ogni volta che qualcuno decide di scendere in piazza.

Perché alla fine a pagare il prezzo di questa situazione sono sempre gli stessi: cittadini, lavoratori e commercianti.

FIRENZE È DI TUTTI. E TUTTI HANNO IL DIRITTO DI VIVERLA IN SICUREZZA.

In vista della manifestazione del 24 ottobre, i commercianti fiorentini si preparano a blindare i propri negozi, proteggendo vetrine e attività.
Ma vi sembra normale tutto questo?
Siamo arrivati al punto in cui chi lavora, paga le tasse e tiene viva la città deve barricarsi nel proprio negozio per paura di quello che potrebbe succedere durante una manifestazione.
Manifestare è un diritto. Devastare una città non lo è.
E mentre si parla tanto di diritti, chi tutela quelli dei commercianti, dei lavoratori e dei cittadini?
Una città civile dovrebbe garantire il diritto di manifestare senza costringere nessuno a vivere nella paura di vedere distrutto il frutto del proprio lavoro.
Firenze non dovrebbe avere bisogno di saracinesche e barricate per affrontare una manifestazione.

Watch out for these people at the Fontana di Trevi. They are the notorious cup-and-ball scammers in the area.

These are heartless people with twisted minds. Deceiving tourists is second nature to them. They have fooled countless people with their rigged cup-and-ball game — it looks so easy to play and win, but once they lure you in, I guarantee you, you will NEVER win.

If you visit the Fontana di Trevi, it's almost impossible not to run into them. There are many of them. A group of 4 to 5 works together, plus spotters positioned on every corner of the square.

My advice: Stay away from them. If you place a bet, lose, and try to argue — they will gang up on you. This group is aggressive and confrontational.

So this is a warning to everyone visiting.
