#TBT June 24, 2017. Visarno Arena, @firenze_rocks.

Take a trip back in time for a second.

It’s summer. Florence. 50,000 people packed in front of the stage. And up there? Just one guy: Eddie Vedder.

No Pearl Jam. No full band. Just Eddie, surrounded by everything he needed to make the night unforgettable: ukuleles, acoustic and electric guitars, and even a pump organ.

It was his first-ever solo show in Italy and, as Eddie said that night, the biggest show he had ever played on his own.

Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, Wishlist, Immortality, I Am Mine, Black, Better Man, Porch… yeah, there was plenty of Pearl Jam. But there was also Society, Guaranteed, Hard Sun and a whole bunch of songs from his solo career and some killer covers that turned the night into something way bigger than just another concert.

And then Glen Hansard 💔 joined him onstage. Falling Slowly, Song of Good Hope, Smile, Rockin’ in the Free World. Two voices, two guitars, and 50,000 people singing along like one giant crowd.

A massive show that somehow still felt incredibly intimate.

Nine years ago.

Nine years since Eddie Vedder stood up there and held 50,000 people in the palm of his hand, pretty much all by himself.

Who was at Visarno Arena for Firenze Rocks that night?

And most importantly… what’s the one moment you still remember?

Tell us in the comments.
