Thursday night saw the Derry boys in town. @theundertones.official took to the stage at @firestationsun to bring their unique brand of punk energy and music to a packed auditorium. As part of their 50th anniversary tour (now I feel old), they received a very warm welcome from the Sunderland crowd. Hammering through their repertoire at breakneck speed, all the classics were given an airing. These guys are now slightly older then they were in the 70s when they formed, but they still give it plenty of oomph on stage. Hearing tracks like Teenage Kicks and Jimmy Jimmy still sends a tingle through me. Quality will always sound amazing, no matter how old the song or the musicians performing it. Ably supported by The Men They Couldn't Hang, it was another superb night at The Fire Station. #thefirestation #theundertones #livemusic #gigphotography #concertphotography
