*Shakes fists angrily* - diagnose me with stress (I'm joking Insta) for having to choose 20 slides for this Main Phase post. It was near on impossible for me to condense all my favourites down into 20 (20 including the cover post. "Breather" is the title for that one). Originally I had 42 tracks chosen, having to bring them down to 19 was no easy task 😅 I've purposely mainly kept this down to solo productions. Copenhagen-born Adam Emil Schierbeck aka Main Phase is one of the best and most consistently good producers of the current gen within the realms of the UKG scene. He's tackled every style possible and his talent has shone throughout each and every track. From dark 2-step and dubstep to hefty 4x4, speed garage and even some jungle and breaks. As much as I love the breaky tracks, I haven't included any of them in this post. Main Phase made his debut in 2020 with the Sonique 2019 release on ec2a, which has solidified itself as a stone cold classic. Since then, he has rapidly expanded his influence across the underground scene. He is the co-founder of ATW Records (@atw_rec) alongside Manchester-based producer Interplanetary Criminal (@interplanetary_criminal93). Together, they have toured internationally, performing at major venues and events worldwide. He boasts an extensive catalogue of releases across several highly regarded underground labels such as INSTINCT, ec2a, Time Is Now, HARDLINE, Shall Not Fade & more. Outside of his solo work, he is or has been involved in other projects including First Touch, Slim Hustla and Ruff Kru. 📝 Let me know what you think of the selection and your favourites in the comments!
