Šta sve pozorište može kada delimo iskustva?

POZORIŠTE MOŽE (THEATRE CAN) je evropska kampanja u okviru projekta THEATRUM ANIMI, koja istražuje kako pozorište povezuje ljude, otvara nove perspektive i produbljuje razumevanje, doprinoseći borbi protiv stigme povezane sa mentalnim zdravljem.

Kroz ovu kampanju, devet partnerskih organizacija iz sedam evropskih zemalja podeliće sa vama predstave, projekte, različite perspektive, istraživanja i priče koje otkrivaju sve ono što pozorište može da pokrene i omogući.

THEATRUM ANIMI okupljaju u Dablinu na evropskom simpozijumu, započinjemo ovaj zajednički razgovor.

Today on World Mental Health Day, it was great to join with Ray Burke Shine: Mental Health Support, Advocacy, Education who organised a gathering of all those who provide vital Mental Health supports in the Community, hosted in partnership with Tirlán in Waterford. Great to be joined by HSE Sharing the Vision Samaritans Ireland Mental Health Ireland Grow Mental Health Waterford Solace Café HUGG First Fortnight and others. The theme this year is lived experience, focusing on real voices and real change. Thanks to all who work across Mental Health services and supports, public, private and voluntary, both inpatient and community, you are making a real difference to end the stigma, to support people to talk openly, and to have the conversation.
Remember there is no health without mental health.

tomorrow, working on new pieces for The Mother Village Project ahead of the First Fortnight Festival in January 2027.

A lovely couple of creative sessions at Athy Art House this week as part of The Mother Village Project. 💕

It was so nice to welcome mums and babies into the space, taking some time out to slow down, get creative and enjoy a bit of conversation along the way.

No drawing experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go! It's been lovely seeing everyone approach the exercises differently and watching the conversations develop around the table.

A big thank you to all the mums who joined me over the two sessions. I'm really enjoying this part of the project and looking forward to more creative gatherings over the coming weeks.

Such a lovely morning at today’s Mother Village Creative Session in Naas Library 🤍

A relaxed few hours of drawing, slowing down, chatting and creating together — with babies and little ones very much part of the process.

I loved seeing everyone just give the exercises a go, without worrying about making a “perfect” drawing. That’s really what these sessions are about — taking a little time to yourself, connecting with your baby and enjoying being creative.

A lovely afternoon opening The Mother Village in @art.house.athy.2025 today 💛

A huge thank you to @alibly and @mammynaydee for all their help and support, and to Eugene and Ciara for providing the gorgeous music. And of course thank you to @byrnevirginia for organising the entertainment and to Vera louise Behan for officially opening the exhibition.

Thank you too to everyone who came along today, had a chat, looked at the work and helped make it such a warm afternoon.

I’m really looking forward to spending the next three weeks working with mums and babies in Athy through the creative sessions, conversations and workshops, and continuing to develop this work towards the 2027 First Fortnight Festival.

✨ The Mother Village ✨

I’m delighted to finally share the details of The Mother Village, opening at Athy Art House on Saturday 3rd October.

This project has grown from my ongoing exploration of motherhood, breastfeeding and the changing relationship we have with ourselves and our bodies through motherhood.

The exhibition will bring together artwork exploring these experiences, alongside a series of creative sessions throughout October. I really want the space to feel welcoming and relaxed — somewhere mums, babies, families and friends can gather, feed, create and connect. ❤️

We’ll begin with our Exhibition Opening & Latch On Event on:

🎨 Exhibition continues until 25th October

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re breastfeeding now, have breastfed in the past, support someone who is, or simply want to come along and experience the exhibition.

This is the beginning of a much bigger body of work that I’m developing for my First Fortnight exhibition in January, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where the conversations and connections created during October take it.

Mum & Baby Creative Workshop 🌿
As part of The Mother Village Project, I’m delighted to be hosting a relaxed creative session for mums and their babies at Naas Library & Cultural Centre.
We’ll explore gentle drawing, mark-making and mindfulness in a supportive space. No art experience is needed — it’s about slowing down, connecting, creating and enjoying some time for yourself alongside your baby.

⏰ 10.30am–12pm
📍 The Chamber, Naas Library & Cultural Centre
🎨 With visual artist Rosemary Noonan
Babies are very welcome to feed, sleep, move around or simply be themselves. 💗

Black Leprechaun by Éyum Priscilla

This spoken word piece was the starting point and the inspiration to create ‘Black leprechaun’ is a Vertical Micro Series about the nuances of being black and Irish. This story is long overdue to be told!
