Meet RA Isabella! 👋✨

As a first-year RA, she’s majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology 🧠📚

She’s actively involved across campus as a @chapmanlatinx Content Creator, @firstgenambassadors Vice President, @cu.activeminds Secretary, Research Assistant for the Early Human Life Development Lab, and a Resource Assistant at a nonprofit through the @thehub_resourcecenter 🌟

Her favorite part about being an RA is watching her residents grow, get involved, and thrive throughout the year. She loves being able to support them and be a small part of their Chapman journey 💛

Fun facts: She’s half Mexican and half Guatemalan, loves the color pink and Snoopy 💕🐶, and you’ll almost always see her with a camera in hand 📸

Congratulations to our First-Gen college graduates! Last week, the Office of DEI held this amazing celebration at the Fish Interfaith Center and filled the room with trailblazers and their families!

We are proud of our graduates for breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations and others in our communities. Wishing them all the success and happiness as they embark on a new chapter in their lives!

Shout out to Kiana Kalahele for her remarkable contributions on campus, whether helping to support APSA and its initiatives, performing with Floor 13, creating safe spaces for first-gen college students, or keeping the community informed through The Panther newspaper!

Kiana was a Summer Bridge Leader for three consecutive years as a sophomore, junior, and senior! She is also the president for the First-Gen Ambassadors!

We appreciate Kiana for her dedication in various aspects of campus life, and we can’t wait to see what she does in the future!

Shout out to Alesia Orta, a screenwriting and communication studies double major, for her contributions on campus!

Alesia was a Promising Futures Summer Bridge Leader three years in a row where she helped incoming first-gen college students transition to life at Chapman. She has always been vocal about her support for the first-gen college community. She is the Vice President for the First-Gen Ambassadors and was the President for the First-Gen Mentors Program last year!

She is expected to graduate this semester (yayyy) and we appreciate her for everything she has done!

The Cross-Cultural Center and Student Government Association would like to invite you to our 2024 DiversityFest this Thursday!

This is your chance to learn about diversity/affinity clubs and organizations and find new spaces! The goal is to raise awareness on resources and celebrate the diverse spaces that exist on this campus.

Diversity/affinity student clubs and organizations can use the QR code (second slide) to RSVP for a table at the event and build connections with the Chapman community.
