Ohhhhh we had such a sweet time on Sunday at the Books and Zines Market at Mirror Lab 💖💖💖💖

What a wild and talented bookmaking and publishing scene we have here in Minneapolis 💥💥📚 😭

Events like these make us so excited to continue to see the small press and zine world grow 🧫 both here in town and beyond :)))

Big big thanks to Forrest for bringing us all together ~ we hope to see y’all again sOooooOoon 🔜🔜

The presses are rolling! @firsthandaccount & @plotting.skemez pulled up and brought some of their work to life. Turned out absolutely beautiful on the matte paper. If you’d like any info on our services just send us a message, website & more refined menus coming soon🏛

After working for two years, I'm finally releasing my new photo book, Paper Son alongside this amazing list of book and zine makers. The process has been abundant. I hope this book can live on your coffee table, in your schools and community spaces so more conversations can be created on this timely and important topic.

I can never get enough art books and I'm super excited that so many talented artists have joined this book event at Public Functionary.

ARTIST BOOK MARKET
Wednesday, November 23 | 4pm-8pm

Hosted by PF Event Producer Ryan Stopera, Public Functionary presents a one-night celebration and market for artist books & zines. Ryan’s new artist book, Paper Son, examines Asian American gender, masculinity, and media representation. Pete K. Wong and Ryan Stopera will facilitate an open conversation at 4:00pm around the themes of the book. All are welcome.

Conversation at 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Book vendors, food and music by Dj Chamun - 5:30pm - 8pm
Public Functionary | Main Gallery 144 | 1500 Jackson St NE

Books and Zines by:

Paper Son was made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
