Lighting does so much more than make a space look beautiful. It has a way of making guests feel welcome the moment they walk into a room. The right lighting creates warmth, sets the mood, and makes a space feel comfortable enough for everyone to settle in, let loose, and have a really good time. It’s one of those design details that you might not consciously notice, but you can absolutely feel the difference. We’d love to help you create an atmosphere that looks beautiful AND feels incredible for your guests. If you’re trying to find a planner and nothing is quite clicking yet, there’s usually a reason for that. Most couples we talk to aren’t confused about what they want their wedding to feel like. They care about the experience, they want something thoughtful and personal, and they want the process to feel organized, not overwhelming. But when they start researching or taking consultations, something still feels a little off. Either everything feels very structured and buttoned up, but a little impersonal. Or it feels creative and exciting, but not always clear how it all comes together in a way that actually works. That in-between is what most couples are really looking for, even if they haven’t put words to it yet. We want you to feel like your ideas are heard, your questions are answered, and your wedding actually reflects you, while also knowing there’s a clear plan in place and someone guiding you through each step. You’re not handing everything over, but you’re not trying to carry it all on your own. You get to be thoughtful about your decisions, feel confident in them, and actually enjoy the process along the way. That’s usually when planning starts to feel really good. If that’s what you’ve been looking for, we’re here. Wedding Planner: @love_letter_weddings Photographer: @handandheartphoto Florals: @loveletterweddingsfloral Cake & Dessert: @acakelife, @popcultureap Catering & Bar: @stirbeverage, @islandfusioncatering808 Music & Entertainment: @spectrumhawaii, @manamusichawaii Rentals: @theweddinglinenco_, @pacificpartyrentals Stylist: @cjsiepka Venue: @lanikuhonua Videography: @firstsecondbeauty #loveletterweddings #LLW #destinationweddingplanner #destinationwedding #hawaiiweddingplanner hawaiiwedding oahuweddingplanner oahuwedding tropicalwedding colorfulwedding weddingplanner weddingstyle weddinginspiration engaged weddingstylist weddingdesign weddingplanning weddingday dreamwedding islandwedding luxuryweddings weddingceremony bridetobe outdoorwedding alfrescowedding weddingsofinstagram

Same guest count. Completely different priorities. If you chose mostly Option A, you’re likely prioritizing the guest experience. That means your budget may lean toward things that make your guests feel cared for and create memorable moments throughout the celebration. Think upgraded food experiences, premium bar packages, live entertainment, transportation, welcome events, and thoughtful touches that make the day feel effortless for everyone attending. If you chose mostly Option B, you’re likely prioritizing design. That means your budget may lean toward creating a highly personalized visual experience. Think custom lighting, statement florals, specialty rentals, layered tablescapes, custom stationery, and details that transform your venue into something completely unique to you. But here’s the thing… There is no right or wrong answer. Most couples care deeply about both. The goal isn’t to choose one side and forget the other. It’s understanding what matters most so you can make intentional decisions with your budget. Two weddings can have the same guest count, the same venue, and the same planning timeline, but look completely different because each couple is investing in the things that matter most to them. That’s why we don’t believe in asking, “How much does a 100-person wedding cost?” The better question is: “What kind of experience do we want to create?” Read our latest blog to learn more about why guest count is only one piece of the budget puzzle. Congrats to @thesmallpaul & @dtashh ! The couple hosted an international wedding at La Pietra School for Girls in Honolulu. Many of the guests came dressed in diverse styles of traditional Barong and Filipiniana wear, which was beautiful. Their flower girls included a niece and a grandma. Guests enjoyed a sushi station at cocktail hour in the warm tones of the arched courtyard before transitioning to the marquee tent for dinner, incredibly funny speeches and a traditional Hawaiian song. It was a perfect, breezy Diamond Head day and I loved every moment. @monicasanluis & Dayson’s wedding is featured today on @overthemoon! (Link in bio). Monica & Dayson have roots in Hawaii, so this multi day celebration was a thoughtful combination of local styles and experiences for their guests. The ceremony & reception were at Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch, (one of the best venues in the state in my opinion.) Their floral designs featured an abundance of green and white hydrangeas as a reflection of the couple’s East Coast life in New York and their Hawai‘i roots. The bride selected each bridesmaid dress individually to reflect each attendant’s personal style. Reception design drew inspiration from classic New York restaurants, incorporating table lamps, draped linens, silver accents, a circular bar, and a marble dance floor and their irst dance was to One Direction’s “18,” a tribute to the age the couple was when they began dating as high school seniors. Cocktail napkins featured the lyric handwritten by the groom: “I have loved you since we were 18”. In lieu of a cake the couple chose a giant tiramisu with “Just Married” written on top, honoring their favorite dessert.
