POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I often tell people my favorite week of the year is the American College Theatre Festival— having @kcactf4 host the second workshop of @firstsemestermusical was an absolute dream. Sharing this story with a house full of college students and hearing their laughter, emotional connection, and occasional chanting was magical. Thank you to the wonderful people at the festival who came to see it, and the biggest thank you in the world to the INCREDIBLE cast and creative team that made the show possible.

It’s just my 1st (4th) semester! 🩷
First Semester was invited to perform as a workshop production at the American College Theatre Festival and I had the absolute honor of getting cast alongside these amazing people.
I had the time of my life getting to work on another script by the incredible @wynstagram03 and be directed by the insanely talented @bivi_car13. This cast was a joy, and this whole process was just a love letter to theatre!
I didn’t get to go to ACTF with this show, due to an unexpected injury that will pretty much put an end to my theatre projects this semester. That being said, this show will hold an extra special place in my heart, as I’m so grateful I have the memories of such a wonderful show before my hiatus. We were blessed to perform in front of an audience two weeks ago, and I know I’ll look back longingly at these photos, shows, and rehearsal nights throughout the coming months! I just know everyone performed spectacularly at ACTF and I wish I could’ve been there to support! First Semester: though this project was cut short I hope our paths cross again sometime. 🩷🩷

Getting to go to the national festival for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival has been a goal of mine since freshman year, and I am so lucky to have gotten to do this while surrounded by some of the coolest people ever. There are so many people using theatre and the arts to make the world a better place, and I can’t wait to see what all of these wonderful people do next. They give me so much hope.
