Could this be Spain's most luxurious well kept secret? 🌴

Tucked between the wild cliffs and calm waters of the Mediterranean lies S’Agaró — a place where time slows down, and elegance whispers rather than shouts 🌊

At its heart sits the legendary @lagavinasagaro, a grand Mediterranean estate opened in 1932 by Josep Ensesa i Gubert, a visionary who dreamed of building a coastal paradise that fused art, architecture, and serenity. Still owned by the Ensesa family today, it remains one of Spain’s few truly family-run luxury hotels—steeped in tradition, yet untouched by excess 🇪🇸

With its arched colonnades, antique-filled salons, and views that feel straight out of a James Bond film, it’s no wonder La Gavina has quietly hosted royalty, artists, and a few familiar faces from the silver screen 🎥

Back in the 1950s and ’60s, when S’Agaró and the Costa Brava served as film locations, Hostal de La Gavina hosted some of Hollywood’s brightest stars. Ava Gardner and Elizabeth Taylor stayed here while shooting in the area, turning the hotel into their off-set haven 💃

S’Agaró isn’t just a destination—it’s a state of mind. One where barefoot walks along the Camí de Ronda lead to slow lunches with sea breezes, and where the world feels far away in the best possible way.

📍We didn't just check-in to a hotel. We found one of the Mediterranean’s best-kept secrets.

Loved @fondarestaurant, the new contemporary Mexican restaurant from @santiagolas and team. So brilliant to have a tour with Santiago and learn about the inspiration behind the restaurant (little eateries that pop up in people’s homes in Mexico) and also hear about his conscientious decisions with ingredients and recipe choices. The restaurant is fun and playful but with seriously good food - the best combination!

My must orders from the menu -

🌱 Sikil Pak - Roasted pumpkin seed, mole, pine, totopos
🌮 Baja Taco - Beer-battered Cornish cod, chipotle, wheat tortilla
🥩 Costra - Aged ribeye, grilled cheese, wheat tortilla
🦞 Gringa - Lobster al pastor, Spenwood cheese, wheat tortillas
🐚 Callo - XL confit scallop, gooseberries, sesame & burnt habanero salsa, corn chicharrón
🐖 Carnitas - Confit pork shoulder, chicharrón with fresh corn tortillas
🫘 Refried beans, queso fresco
🌶️ Nieve - Chocolate sorbet, smoked pasilla
chili oil
🌽 Tamal - Corn steamed cake, dates,butterscotch
🍚 Arroz con Leche - Rice pudding, quince, cinnamon,
mezcal custard

Ps. They will bring 3 sauces to the table, but if you like things extra hot ask for their secret spicy option!
