The future is here. Meet Mila, my 9 year old student. Even though we put the focus on fun, we make sure to work on some key swing fundamentals. Today, we worked on a slow and wide backswing which can be hard for kids of her age. However, she is very smart and understands them.

The chip in I had been waiting for all day!! We can pack it up after a long day!

It has been such a privilege these past few years getting to represent the First Tee of greater Seattle at fundraisers. This past Monday, I once again was able to help out at one of my favorite events, the Microsoft Charity Scramble. This scramble was the very first fundraiser I had helped with 2 years ago, so be to be back a 3rd year helping raise funds for our program is so special!

This year instead of buying a drive, I helped with chip in’s for a guaranteed birdie, a likely eagle, or the elusive 1 chip for a hole out on 18. I made one group very happy after an afternoon of up and downs!

I practice so much, and sometimes it’s nice for a little reminder that it’s all paying off. Celebrating all the little victories I have on and off the course are what makes life so rewarding! ( but a hole out chip sure is sweet🥰)

Thank you to the amazing people at First Tee greater Seattle for always allowing me to help give back to a community of friends, peers, and mentors who give me endless motivation to keep pushing. Thank you to all the gracious donors and sponsors who help make this even and events like this happen. I know these are probably not easy to pull off.

And a special thank you to all those who cheer me on, support me, and come back to check on my progress. The continued support is so vital to a young person in sports.

So, although fundraising season is over for me till next year with First Tee, I’m always practicing. So hopefully next season I can help even more groups get that elusive 1 on the card!!

Happy Birthday Fred Couples! One of the most popular golfers of all time grew up in Seattle learning the game at the Jefferson Park muni. “You are as a golfer where you came from,” Couples was quoted by @playwagolf “Jefferson Park had tight fairways and small greens. My iron play has always been the strongest part of my game and I realize it is good because of the golf I had to play as a kid.” With that history it’s notable that @firstteeseattle has a packed lineup of sessions today. The main course seen here plus a 9 holer and the driving range are all now named in honor of Bill Wright, winner of 1959 USGA Publinks who was introduced to the game at Jefferson Park.

The rain couldn’t keep the play away!! 🙌🏾

This weekend, nearly 300 families came out to Tukwila Community Center for Play Day 2026, and the energy was unstoppable. From sports sampling and program provider tables to food and giveaways, our community showed up and showed OUT for youth play equity.

Huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather with us: our volunteers, partners, program providers, and every family who made the trip. This is exactly why we do what we do. 💙

These two powered through the day together! ⛳️💪🏽

Nick started golfing at 7 AM, and Sho joined him at 9:30 AM. From there, they kept each other going all day long. By the end of the night, Nick had golfed an incredible 140+ holes, with Sho right there alongside him for 115 holes!

It was so fun watching them play together, encourage each other, and just enjoy a full day on the course doing something they both love.

Nick is heading into his first year of college, and we’re wishing him all the best as he starts this next chapter! Hopefully when he’s home on breaks, these two can sneak in a few rounds together. ⛳️

Thanks for being such a great golf partner to Sho, Nick! 💚

115 HOLES!!! ⛳️🥳💜

Sho completed his First Tee Greater Seattle Golf-a-Thon today, and I could not be more proud of this kid!

He started golfing at 9:30 AM and finished at 9:30 PM — 12 HOURS of golf and a total of 115 holes! 🤯⛳️

Watching his determination throughout the day was incredible. He kept going, kept swinging, and had SO much fun along the way. He learned a ton, got to spend an entire day doing something he absolutely loves, and even finished the night playing a few rounds of glow-in-the-dark golf! 🌙⛳️

Thank you so much to EVERYONE who donated, shared his fundraiser, encouraged him, or sent well wishes. Sho felt all of the support, and we are so grateful. 💚

And it’s not too late! Donations are still open, so if you’d like to support Sho’s incredible 115-hole effort and help First Tee continue making golf accessible to more kids, there’s still time to donate.

So incredibly proud of you, Sho. 115 holes. 12 hours. One very determined kid. 💚⛳️🏌🏽‍♂️

It’s been fundraising season! Team First Tee Seattle has been out here doing some work!!! We’ve been out here making putts and hitting tee shots for our First Tee Seattle chapter all summer.

The Rise Up Academy Event was a success and just a super fun day all around! Thank you to all the amazing individuals who made this day a success! From our Coaches, donors, players, volunteers, celebrities, and the Mill Creek CC. After days like this, my heart is so full! I get to share my love and passion for the game with friends new and old!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our First Tee Junior Advisory Board Sales this past weekend! ⛳️💚

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised $12,358! We’re so grateful to everyone who donated items, shopped the sales, volunteered, and helped make the weekend possible.

While we didn’t break any records this time around, the weekend was about much more than a number. Our Junior Advisory Board members learned a lot, grew as a team, and gained valuable experience along the way. We couldn’t be prouder of the work they put in!

And we’re not done yet! 🍂 Mark your calendars for our Fall Sales on October 31 & November 1. We’re excited to finish the year strong and hope to see you there!

Thank you for continuing to support our young people and First Tee – Greater Seattle. 💚⛳️

Sho is golfing for a cause! ⛳️💚

This year, Sho is participating in the @firstteeseattle Golf-a-Thon, and this one means a lot to us.

First Tee has given Sho so much more than just a place to play golf. It has helped him grow his confidence, learn from incredible coaches, compete, challenge himself, and fall even more in love with the game.

So many of the opportunities he has had are possible because of the generosity of people who believe in giving kids access to this sport. Now Sho gets the chance to give back to a program that has given so much to him.

He’ll be golfing to help make sure other kids get those same opportunities. ⛳️

If you’d like to support Sho and First Tee Greater Seattle, every donation, big or small, helps give another young golfer the chance to learn, grow, and find their love for the game too.

We appreciate you donating, sharing and cheering him on! 💚🏌🏽
