Last night was a celebration of advocacy and allyship within the Black and African American endometriosis community at the first @endo_black Award Gala.

The @endoandpcosbb is honoured to have been awarded endometriosis organization of year!

Thank you to our many supporters, partners and volunteers in Barbados, across the Caribbean and the world.

Special thanks to BAEP founding members, Board and our past and present Office.

Co-founders Dawn and Julia, the officers and board members of the organization: Rashida, Chante, Vania, Shernelle, Millicent, Renelsa, Ama, Ashonelle, Shauna, Ramona, Jasmine, Mawena, Nicole, Krystle and Janelle.

In 2016, ten of us came together to create this organization because we wanted to prevent at least one young Barbadian girl from suffering they way we did growing up, confused by what was happening to us.

While theres still a great deal of work to do, we've covered alot of ground in the past 5+ years.

Additionally to our regular collaborators and partners, including persons in the healthcare system as well as the public and private sector of Barbados- There's absolutely no way BAEP would be as effective as it has been, given our resource constraints, without you.

Thank you to Endo Black Inc for this award, the work you do and continue to do for Black women across the diaspora and for creating a space for us to celebrate today.

With a book, countless outreach sessions, numerous workshops and several awareness raising events, it's amazing the amount of work we have been able to do in these past 5 years. ⁠
