In partnership with @mentorminnesota, The Loppet is offering a no-cost, youth led Mental Health Ambassador cohort this Fall. What is the Mental Health Ambassador program? An evidence-informed program that trains youth and adults in mental health support, suicide prevention, and advocacy so they can make a real impact in their communities.

Here’s the train kiln @redlodgeclaycenter2 We got started early and went all day. @jacks__arts was inside the kiln for most of it, guiding the process and open conversation about placement of work and construction of the stack. Not an easy thing to do but it came so naturally to him that I’m sure his knees and back didn’t even notice.

By the end of the evening as we all gathered to share a meal prepared at the studio - grilled steaks, chicken, veggies and potatoes (cooked inside the electric kiln), a bit of wine or bourbon.. and it was obvious the winds of fortune had brought us all together. An evening filled with laughter and stories.

In a few hours we’ll be finishing up the loading and work out the firing schedule for the next 4 days.
