Sometimes I like to sea-food and eat it 🐟

Lunch at one of favourite fish and chips shops @fishfish_au . @fishfish_au is one of my favourite places for fish and chips because the seafood is always so fresh.

We ordered pack 1 with comes a huge piece of lightly battered fish and a generous serving of chips, pack 2 which came with calamari, potato scallops, fish cocktails and chips, and of course the kids meal of chicken nuggets and chips for Mini foodie who dislikes seafood. Everything was so deliciously fresh and cooked to perfection.

I was so tempted to order the deep fried Dubai chocolate bar, but unfortunately I was too full. I have previously tried their deep fried mars bar which was really delicious.

@fishfish_au is one of the best Fish & Chip shops in Western Sydney and they now also have Irish Spice Bags??! I can’t believe I found an Irish Spice Bag in Western Sydney hahaha but hey, it was definitely worth a try!

@fishfish_au inside Ed Square is one of my Fish & Chip shops in Western Sydney! Love their Family Packs with the crunchiest most delicious potato scallops, breadcrumbed calamari and battered fish. I also ask for a whole cup of their tartare sauce ($10) but you can also get a regular sized one 😂

I’ve been very blessed to be part of some special moments at Percy’s but working with @visionaustralia and @craigshanahan_speaker to create this braille menu is up there with the most special moments!

Having someone like @craigshanahan_speaker in our community, who’s created so much awareness around accessibility in hospitality through The Blind Chef Cafe, has inspired us to make dining in Penrith more accessible.

For me, this is also personal. Having a Niece with an impairment, (who inspired me to give back without expecting anything in return) I know how important it is to make sure everyone can enjoy the same dining experience.

That’s why introducing braille menus at Percy’s means so much. It’s about making our local café a place anyone can visit and feel welcome.

So this one’s for you to remember, next time you meet someone who could benefit from this, please share this with them, and help spread awareness so more people (and hopefully other venues) can help enhance the dining experience in our area.

We are also currently working on creating braille menus for @gellafrenda and @fishfish_au in the coming weeks.
