After I’ve landed a couple, I finally pause to soak it all in. This day was another unforgettable one. Everyone was on fish; someone would release one, you’d hear a screaming drag, look over, and see a bent rod with someone else on. Everyone got a little wet and felt the splash of water, and we all rose before dawn to pursue our passion. We held onto the belief that they’d still be biting come late fall, and our efforts paid off big time. Reflecting on epic days like this, I come to appreciate the camaraderie almost as much as the bite we were all on. Sharing a lure or color otter strip that was working, helping one another land a fish. Being out there, engaged in what so few find enjoyable. I mean trying to convince a new jack to “embrace the suck,” enduring 20mph winds, tirelessly casting a bucktail until your shoulder feels like it might give out, all while getting drenched by large swells, may not sound appealing to most. I know I stand with so many who love it, who use it as fuel to keep going. For us surfcasters and fishermen, it’s what sets us apart. Much love and respect to all you guys, not just these guys in the photo, but to the community at large. As the season is on the brink of kicking off, I hope you all set new PBs, create unforgettable memories and Fish safe 🫡🤙

Recap of my 2022 season. Many 30 pounders pulled up and a single 40 pounder landed. Lost many 35+ pound fish trying to solo land fish on a super sketchy jetty. Was a bit hard trying to get out in the summer studying for my MCAT but the sacrifice paid off since I got a very competitive score with the lack of fishing. So trying to make the most out of the next year and a half before medical school.

I've got some new products in the works for boat guys and surf guys. So be on the lookout in the future.

Had incredible weather and great fishing with some great guys yesterday with @fishwithgus and @fish_ne_where. I have met so many new friends and had the pleasure of sharing ,all thanks to Instagram .
