The @fishlabtackle Neko Flex Shad features a unique metal spring system embedded in the spine of the bait. On the rip or on the fall, the horizontal-running coil causes the bait to vibrate and flutter like a lipless crankbait. Rig the nose with a Neko weight and cast and you immediately feel the unique movement of this soft plastic bait. Additionally, 4 small dimples in the plastic run in-line with the spine allowing you to perfectly rig your hook under the spring to reduce bait tear-outs and increase longevity. Available in 5”, 4”, and 3” sizes and in 7 fish-catching colors to match your local hatch. Bluegill pattern pictured. My set-up of choice is the @okumafishingusa Tournament Concept TCS-S-721Mlb rod and Safire SF-2500HA reel with 8 pound @plinefishing Flouroclear line. This combo has just the right amount of sensitivity and power for this application and the versatility for other more finesse-style techniques. Baits available at fishlabtackle.com, rod and reel available at okumafishingusa.com #fishing #bass #bassfishing #smallmouthbass #angler #bassnation #tightlines #fishinglife #fishlabtackle #okuma #okumafishingusa

Hit the water recently and the @fishlabtackle Nature Series (NS) Swimbaits were putting in some serious work. The profile, massive tail-kick, and subtle body roll was irresistible to these Smallmouth posted up in the boulders. Fishing swimbaits is one of my favorite and most effective methods and FishLab Tackle has hit a home-run with these baits. Rigged the 4.5” in “Bone” color on a 1/4 oz swimbait head with a 3/0 hook to increase the hook-up rates. Dipped the tails in chartreuse Spike-it to show up better in stained water and as always a dab of super glue to secure them to the heads. I fish my smaller swimbaits on a spinning set-up to slow them down a bit and give that extra moment in the strike zone on the pass. My go-to set-up is the @okumafishingusa @okuma_fishing Saphire 4000 with the Cerros CRS-S-701MH rod. Super-smooth and powerful reel and very sensitive rod with enough backbone to pull those fish out of the rocks. @bajiosunglasses cut the glare down and my kept my eyes protected throughout the day. @plinefishing Flouroclear kept the fish pinned and got them to the boat. So today started nice and early. A little 3 hour nap before jumping into the truck and driving to the delta. Little 8 hour drive never hurt anyone. Practice today tomorrow and Friday. Then tournament Saturday/sunday. Gotta find some big ones I feel like. It’s all about the grind.
