All things bought to remind me of the best week in new york

• matchbox from @hotelchelsea - be sure to sit at the bar and get a drink in el quijote (feels like a scene from a tarantino film)
• tote and cup from @momadesignstore - be prepared to go into your overdraft
• postcard from @stissinghouse - the cosiest inn in the sticks of upstate (tip - prebook a return taxi or beg a waitress for a lift home)
• hudson & catskills guide by @wildsam, purchased from @hellofellowcafe
• mug and little apple magnets from @fishseddy - a mecca for tasteful nyc themed souvenirs
• matchbook from @fairfaxnyc - order the egg, ham and aioli sandwich, trust me
• @oldfriendphotobooth for a cute souvenir of cute faces
• each @uniqlousa ny store, sells location inspired tshirts. I got this wall street one from the financial district location
• matchbook from @pocketbookhudson - a new hotel in hudson with interiors of my wet dreams
• i’ve always wanted to try candy corn @thevillageconfectionery
• sleepy hollow from sleepy hollow 🥹 @sleepyhollowbookshop
• the coolest Irish bar, and I don’t even like alcohol @thedeadrabbitny

Welcome to #TryingMyFirst, where we try foods and drinks I’ve somehow gone my entire life without experiencing!

Today’s curiosity: the classic New York egg cream. A drink that, despite its name, contains neither eggs nor cream. Just milk, seltzer, and chocolate syrup. Make it make sense. 😂

I finally got to try one at Fishs Eddy, one of my favorite wonderfully quirky shops in NYC. Because apparently, in addition to selling really cool dishes, they’re also serving up a little New York nostalgia.

Have you ever had an egg cream? 🥛🍫

Three years ago we went to New York and @xelladawsonx and I left the boys at the Hotel and went to @fishseddy which is full of cool stuff, including artist @benlenovitz who does pet portraits 🐶 🐈 I wanted one of his portraits SO BAD but never got around to ordering one until a few months ago when I bit the bullet and sent over pictures of Buddy and Flo 💁🏼‍♀️ It’s arrived and I love it and now they are best friends for all eternity, even if they don’t act like it 😂
