PALM OIL PRESS will be AT SPX! Come take a look at Table B1!

We are excited to announce that our first comics anthology, THE MACHINE, will be on the table and for sale in limited quantities! The Kickstarter will finally be up this coming week, so keep an eye out for that.

Aside from the anthology, we will also be selling zines, books, prints, stickers, and more!

Some of the artists on the table will be:
Dieu Sam B. (@sgt.owlfox), Chuck White (@naivecorpse), Ben Young (@benyoungart), Taylor Fogarty (@taylorfogarty), Yusia Xiao (@fishyheady), Ry Hasenaur (@ryehasanhour), and Sunni Stewart (@sunnisideup__)

Cover artist Izzy Liu (@byizzyliu) will also be at SPX, but at a separate table, G4!

Excited to see you there and show you the result of all our hard work!

For a moment, I got to exist in someone else’s imagination.

Thanks to everyone who shared a page from their sketchbook and let me see myself through their eyes. These are just a few favorites from this month’s sketch night at @soi128 with @emperor_vanity_society. ✍️🎶

I graduated!!!! YIPPEEEE!!!

I’m so thankful for what these 4 years have taught me, it was everything I could have wished for and even more. I love the city so much but the people are what really made it a home, I miss everyone already so so much, just know you mean the world to me and I will 100% be visiting to annoy everyone all over again🥹🤞🏻💖💖

I cant wait to see what everyone does post-grad, I’m so proud of everyone I LOVE YOUUU!!!

THANK YOU! In the first week of debuting Hunting for Gooblets issue 1, I’ve sold over 100 copies! It’s my most successful project so far, and I’m so proud of the reception. It was amazing to meet Goob enthusiasts at BICS, and to convert some new ones 💚 It makes me feel hopeful.

It will still take a little while before I can open up my eshop again, I’ll explain in a new announcement later this week.

Again, I love y’all and hope you have a goob day

The senior show has been done for about a week and a half but it still feels so surreal for me. I'm a bit late on sharing this, but I am trying to get better with posting on Instagram haha.

Its been a hectic, chaotic, and busy year but its been amazing. I dont know what this year would have been like if I didn't have my friends and family always being there for me and my professor @anthonymacbain for giving me the guidance and advice I needed or needed to hear to keep me going even when I felt at my lowest during the project.

Its been a humbling process and im forever greatful to everybody that has been there for me, the support you guys have shown me is something I will carry with me forever. Thank you.

I'm missing like a billion pictures from that night but thank you to everybody who came by, gave me flowers and showed me support. 🙂‍↕️🫶🏼

Thanks to my classmates, professors, sva faculty, my friends, and family who have been on this insane journey with me!! Its been a hell of a crazy ride!

Now all thats left is to graduate, and im ready to see what comes next 💖✨️🎓🎓

WE WILL BE AT BICS, come say hi to us at Table 335 in the Blue Room!

Apologies for the radio silence; things have been very busy, and life circumstances have not been ideal. All of that being said, we are very excited to announce that the Kickstarter first issue will be up and live within the next few days, and pre-orders through Kickstarter will be possible at BICS at our table!

Please also check out the Comics Publishing Mixer happening at BICS this coming Satuday from 4–6PM in Building 7, especially if you are newer to the New York comics scene, or are interested in meeting professionals!

Some of the artists on the table will be:
Chuck White (@naivecorpse), Shayne Keys (@crypt_keys), Dieu Sam B (@sgt.owlfox), Anso (@antzo__), Nile Wonga Adams-Duma (@artbynile), and Riley R Sullivan (@nitecreeture)

Dieu Sam B will be tabling both days, with help from Nile on Saturday, and Shayne on Sunday.

More posts will be coming soon about the anthology itself in hopes of making up for the lack of communication and information on the anthology the past several months, explaining this first issue, as well as the mission statement of Palm Oil Press.

Some of our anthology issue contributors will also be tabling, but separately!
Ben Young (@benyoungart) at 148
Yusia Xiao (@fishyheady) at 425
Taylor Fogarty (@taylorfogarty) at 324

Excited to see you there!

@bicsbrooklyn

*The dummy/proof copy on the table is a rough test print meant to display what comics will be shown. Please note that the final comic will be perfect bound, exactly 8.5x11, and include an interview and conversation with emerging Belgian cartoonist, Miel Vandepitte, artist behind the graphic novels Metropolis and Centralia.
