How was this already SIX months ago? 🥹💙

Looking back at the day we gathered with family and friends to shower our son Matt and daughter-in-law Kelli with so much love as they prepared to become parents. There’s something extra special about having family come into town and everyone together to celebrate such an exciting new chapter.

Fast forward six months… and Bennett Matthew 🎸 is already THREE months old! Growing like a weed, smiling nonstop, and bringing so much love and fun into our family.

Matt and I have officially entered a whole new era of parenthood… watching our children become parents and getting to be grandparents ourselves. And we are absolutely loving it. 💙

A mom’s love language… 🤍

Moving her college daughter into her home away from home for another school year. 🥹📦🎓

Making the bed, organizing all the little things, adding the cozy touches, and making sure it feels just a little bit like home before I leave.

Because no matter how old they get or how far they go, we’ll always want to make sure they’re comfortable, settled, and surrounded by a little piece of us. 🤍

College move-in days are equal parts exciting and emotional… but creating a home away from home for my girl? That’s one of my favorite ways to love her. 🫶

We had the BEST time celebrating our friends’ 50th birthday at Excellence Playa Mujeres. This adults-only resort was absolutely incredible — the beach, the service, the food… we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. 1000/10 recommend! 🌊🥂

We also took a catamaran to Isla Mujeres, set up by my friend Shelby ⛵️ I’ll tag her below — if you’re planning a Mexico getaway, celebration or destination wedding, she’s your girl! @simplyclassictravels @simplyclassicevents

But my favorite part? A few days away with Matt before the craziness of fall begins. ❤️ We haven’t taken a little getaway just for us in way too long, and it was exactly what we needed.

Nobody talks enough about the emotional damage of going from an all-you-can-eat vacation breakfast buffet… to standing in your kitchen holding an empty plate, blankly staring at the kitchen island. 😭😂

Excuse me?? Where is my omelet station? My fresh fruit? My pastries? And WHO is making my coffee?!

There needs to be a mandatory transition period between vacation and real life. You cannot just send us home and expect us to fend for ourselves immediately.

I’m not made for hard things. 😂

Please tell me I’m not alone.
