Chicago, 26.2 looks good on you. Months of training. Early mornings. Long runs. Tired legs. One starting line. Tomorrow, trust the work, take in the noise, and enjoy every damn mile. Good luck to everyone running Chicago. Go have a day. — Run Slick #chicago #chicagomarathon #race #running

Final Recap & Moving Forward My final thoughts as we put this block in the rear view mirror: Runna as an app is a great introduction to structured training and really does a great job of removing all friction to getting started. It has really sparked something in me and pushed me to grow as a runner significantly in the 18 months I've used it. Maxing out the difficulty levers on Runna was an interesting experiment that truly pushed me to my limits at times. What I noticed most was the cadence of the increased workouts and the 6mi of quality work each time was a huge step up from previous plans. I do think more long runs could have been workouts rather than conversational, and the end of the block got a little out of hand. Specifically I'll call out the 20x 400m repeats and 18x 1min hill repeats in the final weeks as being at the very limit of what I could recover from. Finally congrats to IrishBoy for his 3:45 marathon prediction, winning him an Amazon gift card for $34.85 So what's next for me? First off I'll be watching everyone crush it at the Chicago Marathon this weekend. Let's go @fitdadpayne @mileswithdashawn @jeffg.runs and others that I'm sure I missed that have supported me this block and are about to race! October is all about biking and swimming for me as I'm following my first Marathon up with my first sprint triathlon on Halloween. I'm itching to get back to running, but excited to try out something new. It's been a hell of a ride, but we are just getting started. #runna #marathontraining #PortlandMarathon #triathlontraining #reflection
