“Where did you get those leggings?”

I’ve been asked a good few times recently on whether or not I’m still selling @fitfluenceapparel clothing…

The answer: yes, but only through instagram right now.

Legging details ⬇️

Swift Leggings

€35

Comes in sizes:
small, medium, large

My honest review:

These are perfect if you’re looking for a waistband that gives control and support but not too overbearinglu tight.

Being honest though, I wouldn’t lounge in them on the couch.

But, I’d happily wear these throughout the day running errands, not just the gym.

Mom-approved! @anna_fitfluence

If you want a pair DM me ‘GYM’ and I’ll drop you a message on how to order! @fitfluenceapparel

We baaaackkkk🏋🏽‍♀️

Boy have I enjoyed being back in the gym consistently this past couple of months!

Although I really enjoyed my time training for and racing in duathlons and triathlons from September, 2025 - June, 2026… I can say that I am a gym girl to my core

I know I said I’d vlog and bring you guys on the journey, which I do have the footage, it’s just not edited 🥲 but actually, training 3 sports, the gym, working a 9-5, trying to eat healthy, and having a toddler was harder to balance than I thought, so social media had to be dropped. For my sanity, lol

Who knows, maybe someday I’ll finish the YouTube series

Anyways, to end the triathlon girlie era (for now):

Will I change disciplines? Probs not
Will I race another duathlon? Probs not
Will I be training in endurance sports as heavily as I did going forward? Probs not

Will I do another triathlon? Maybe’s next year🤔

Will I continue any of the 3 endurance sports, swim, bike or run? Honestly, I enjoyed my short run and bike sessions. It was the long ones that were suffering for me☠️ I also really enjoyed swimming once my breathing improved, but I hate the process of going for a swim.. changing, getting wet (well obvs you have to, but still), chlorine everywhere even after showering, DRY AF skin… not the vibe.

End verdict:
🏃🏽‍♀️short runs are in - probs biweekly
🚴🏽‍♀️short bike rides are in - probs a monthly thing
🏊🏼‍♀️I’d like to say swimming’s in bc I genuinely enjoyed it, but realistically, probs an occasional/ if I’m feeling it thing

For now, I can confirm that this gym girl is back

Spoiler Alert. She Finished! 🏃🏽‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

… your girl just completed her first ever duathlon and I couldn’t wait to tell you 🤫

At 1 year postpartum I set a goal to complete a triathlon before Theo turns 2.

6 months later: duathlon ticked off.
Moms, we can do it💪

4.5km run. 20km bike. 2.4km run.
Back to back.

As a breastfeeding mum with a 1.5 year old toddler in tow.

7 minutes off my goal time.
First ever run race.
First ever bike race.
DUATHLON done🏁

This was the Tri Lakes Duathlon in Knockma, Galway and honestly? I’d do it all again tomorrow.

Did I pick a difficult course? Yes.
Hill race to start. Hills on old country roads with traffic. More inclined for run 2. Tick to all..
Was it tough? YES
But, did I complete it? Yes. And I’m so proud!

Swipe to see the full race day — from the bike rack going on Friday night, the 6:45am hotel wake up, fuelling, getting Theo sorted, transition zone, the course breakdown, all the way to the beef roast dinner I absolutely devoured after 🍽️

The full training journey, the nerves, and everything behind the scenes will be uploaded to my YT Ychannel
➡️ link in bio👀

Save this if you’re planning your first duathlon — especially if you’re a mum doing it with a toddler.

You’ve got this🙌

Confession time. 🙊

I actually started training back in September.

But I only started posting about it in January.

And now, 6 months later — we’re on Episode 3, and I’m still figuring this all out in real time.

Still, we’ll get there eventually, no matter how slow.

Thanks for being patient and following along!

Lower body done ✔️

6 exercises planned.
45 minutes set aside.
Real life had other plans.

Only got 5 exercises in thanks to after-work traffic — which I absolutely should’ve seen coming 🙃
And that’s okay.

Training doesn’t have to be perfect to be effective. You show up, you do what you can, and you move on.

This is my Week 1 lower body session as part of the Gym Mom Trains for Triathlon series — keeping strength work in while building endurance.

Full workout breakdown is in Episode 1 on YouTube.

Upper body done ✔️

6 exercises.
35 minutes total.
And a reminder that workouts don’t need to be long to be effective.

This is my Week 1 upper body session as part of the Gym Mom Trains for Triathlon series — keeping strength work in while building endurance.

Full breakdown + full video is live in Episode 1 on YouTube.

First run ✔️

The plan was simple:
3 min walk warm-up
6 sets of 1 min jog / 1 min walk
3 min walk cool-down

And honestly?
It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

🏃🏽‍♀️I covered 2.3km — almost at my 3km goal already.
Once I hit the distance, I’ll shift the focus to time. One step at a time.

This is exactly why starting matters. The fear before is usually worse than the thing itself.

Beginner pace.
Real effort.
Progress already.

👀This was just a sneak-peak of episode 1.

Respectfully…
If you’re a mum trying to work out with a toddler under your feet, you don’t need advice from someone who’s never trained like that.

You need a coach who gets it.

That’s why mums come to me.

Because I don’t teach fitness in a quiet gym with unlimited time.
I coach women who are:
• Training while their toddler plays beside them
• Pausing sets for snacks and cuddles
• Working around nap schedules and broken sleep
• Choosing progress that fits real life

I don’t expect perfection.
I expect reality.

We focus on:
✔️ Safe, effective training postpartum
✔️ Programs that flex with motherhood
✔️ Building strength, energy, and confidence — not burnout

You don’t need to “wait until life calms down.”
You don’t need to do less because you’re a mum.
You just need support that understands your season.

If you’ve got a toddler nearby while you’re trying to move your body —
you’re exactly who I coach.

💛 Follow for realistic, mum-led fitness that works around toys on the floor and tiny humans watching — not despite them.

They said… just wait.
Just wait until you’re pregnant.
Just wait until the baby arrives.
Just wait — you won’t have the energy.
You won’t be able to train.
You won’t even want to go for a walk.”

But what exactly was I waiting for?

Because pregnancy didn’t stop me from caring for my health — it changed how I showed up for it.
And motherhood didn’t take movement away from me — it gave it a deeper reason.

I train now to feel strong in my body.
To have energy for my baby.
To support my mental health.
To move through this season with confidence instead of just surviving it.

It’s not about pushing through exhaustion or proving a point.
It’s about choosing myself within motherhood — not after it.

Movement doesn’t disappear when you become a mum.
It evolves.
And when you let it, it supports you in ways nothing else can.

You don’t need to “wait.”
You just need permission to do it differently.

💛 Follow for realistic, pressure-free fitness for pregnancy, postpartum, and real mum life — built around your energy, not against it.

You don’t need the newest kit.
You don’t need perfect weather.
You don’t even need confidence.

You just need to start — with what you have, where you are.

Old leggings. Old trainers. Cold Irish air. Real life.
And it still counts.

Waiting for the “right” gear or the “perfect” conditions will keep you stuck longer than you think. Start first. Learn as you go. Upgrade later — when you actually know what you need and whether you even enjoy it.

If I waited for blue skies or top-of-the-range kit, I’d still be waiting.

Starting something new doesn’t have to look aesthetic or polished. Especially as a mum, or a beginner, or someone juggling a lot — showing up imperfectly is more than enough.

Progress begins the moment you stop waiting ✨

I’ll be honest… I didn’t even know what a triathlon was before starting this 😅

Swim. Bike. Run.
Each part feels scary on its own — and together? Almost impossible if I’m honest.

👶🏾But motherhood gives you a quiet strength you didn’t know you had.

🎢This journey isn’t about being fast or impressive — it’s about trying, learning, and letting yourself be a beginner again.

If you’re new here, starting from scratch, or just curious… you’re very ✨welcome✨
