a better use of this shirt. this silhouette (and the tank setup for warmer weather) is my comfort zone and tbh, if my current closet cleanout consolidates me down to mostly this, i am okay with it

bonus: everything works with the tank

also ft. the first shirt which has an internal sling strap that I quite like. wish I had it in a size larger (or two)

actually I did have the thought to double up on the plaids, then both can be shed if needed, one slung and one wrapped around the waist

can one truly have too much plaid?

i think this shirt is a strict upgrade (aside from being slightly navy); overall bigger in size, and also a heavier fabric, so the pulling of the sling strap is cleaner and makes for a nicer silhouette with the longer length pulling back away

front and particularly side silhouette is also much nicer, laying over the big gasmask pockets. good from all angles

wanted to document this look but ended up just reminding myself that i really need to see outfits from all angles to check if they actually work or not

without the sling I generally like the look, although only the front silhouette is nice with this shirt over these shorts I feel

bigger issue is the sling bag (necessary, for camera gear); this is the best case/angle, usually it pulls hard and kills too much structure in the shirt + tends to dishevel things with walking & movement. probably time to get a backpack?

photographer's notes: camera level, waist height, 18ft distance to subject, single broad overhead bounce (ceiling)

Self love is a powerful thing. @thetoxportlandcedarhills 🫰 & I trust better days are coming.

About last night… @fashionxt was a gorgeous vibe and display of upcoming artists paving a path forward for themselves and for fashion.

All in all LOVE yourself and please DREAM. Because the dreamers are the courageous ones that are willing to joyfully resist the oppressive state of our society ~

Be the love you wish to see in the world ✌️🫰💋

You’re allowed to watch. 🐍

I painted during the opening of FERAL: THE FIRST BITE because this exhibition isn’t happening behind closed doors.

I’m making it here.

Paintings will appear. Apples will multiply. Things will work. Things will fail. The wall will change.

And sometimes, you’ll walk in and I’ll just be standing there painting.

That’s kind of the whole point.

FERAL is being built in public for the next 13 months.

And next Thursday at ART CLUB, I’ll be back in the gallery making while you make too.

Come draw. Paint. Color. Have a drink. Hang out. Watch FERAL become whatever the hell it’s becoming.

ART CLUB at Art Tower
October 15 · 5–9 PM
Free + everyone is welcome.

🐍 Come slither.

Happy Moon-Day 🌕
Me and this a$$ no longer work on Mondays.

Like we straight up blocked Mondays off our calendar about a year after nearly 8 years of no official day off. Rehabilitating old workaholic ways is tough, especially when your identity becomes tied to your work.

Rest that you carve out for yourself feels much better than the forced rest that comes from an aggressive bout of burnout knocking you down.

So enjoy my butt 💋
