🎙️ THE LANDSCAPING SHOW IS BACK!

Well, it’s official!

I’m absolutely delighted to announce that The Landscaping Show is returning to Fix Radio, The Builders Station!

After a little time away, we’re back recording and getting ready to bring you more conversations about landscaping, garden design, the construction industry and the people who make it all happen.

There’ll be plenty of industry talk, a few opinions, and knowing me, probably the odd bit of nonsense thrown in for good measure! 😂

But here’s something to think about…

👀 Could there be a new co-host joining Johnny Boy on The Landscaping Show?

Now, that could make things interesting!

All will be revealed in due course.

A massive thank you to Fix Radio and everyone who’s supported the show over the years.

It’s great to be back, and I’m looking forward to sharing what’s coming next.

A few moments from the Fix Radio Tool Theft Conference. It was good to hear people from across the trade, policing, manufacturing and support organisations speak openly about what tool theft is doing to people’s work and lives.

I joined the van-security panel to make one point in particular: security needs to keep up as theft methods change. Van owners need clear advice about how their factory security works, which weaknesses affect their particular van, and which upgrades will actually add value.

Thanks to Fix Radio for bringing everyone together—and to everyone who shared their experience. What’s the one change you think would make the biggest difference to van and tool theft?

🌳 FROM OUR OWN TREES TO OUR OWN FLOORS! 🪵🔨

There’s something pretty special about laying an oak floor that’s been grown right here at home! 🙌

Homegrown oak, laid with care, and now finished with Osmo floor finish to bring out that stunning natural grain. 😍

No mass-produced flooring here! Just proper craftsmanship, beautiful timber and a floor that’s built to last for generations. 💪

Grown it 🌳 Worked it 🪚 Laid it 🔨 Finished it ✨

Another cracking job by the team!!!

Today's the day, another step to big changes hopefully 🙏🤞

The harsh reality......

Tool theft in the UK affects over 80% of tradespeople during their careers, with police recording around 25,525 incidents (averaging one theft every 21 minutes) representing roughly £40 million to £98 million in stolen equipment value. 😟

“Take everything out of your van.”

Listen to what we’ve come to accept.

Finish a day’s work. Unload your workplace. Find somewhere secure for it. Put it all back before tomorrow’s shift.

Of course people take precautions. But expecting your equipment to remain inside a locked van should not be treated as naïve.

I’ve got friends who’ve been through this. I keep seeing others say they’re packing it in. Not because they don’t want to work — because they cannot afford to rebuild their livelihood again.

Prime Minister: your predecessors have questions to answer. So do those now finding their voice in opposition.

But you hold the responsibility to act now.

Chancellor: protecting people’s ability to earn deserves a place in your spending priorities.

Today’s @fixradiouk Tool Theft Conference brings people together to tackle this. @stolen_tools_uk_ asked me to speak up.

Give that work government backing. Give us commitments we can hold you to.

What changes? Who delivers it? By when?

You want us to build the country.

Where are you for us?

Share this beyond the trades. Nobody should have to work in construction to understand what losing the means to earn can do to a family.

We are now officially watertight!!

New roof light on and looking stunning!!

I’m so in love with this project and love how the house is blended into the countryside.

It’s amazing what teamwork can do!

Well, that’s the end of an era, and what an era it’s been!

I’ve been incredibly proud to have been involved in four @bbcdiysos programmes, including two @bbccin specials. The work carried out over the years has made such a huge difference to so many families, and it’s sad to see it coming to an end. The impact it has had on people’s lives will never be forgotten.

On a personal note, volunteering through DIY SOS has allowed me to meet so many great people and make some lifelong friends. None more so than @chrisfredianiplastering , who I still speak to almost weekly and who regularly invites me on as a guest on his @fixradiouk show.

It’s been an absolute privilege to be a small part of something that has brought so much happiness and made such a difference to so many people.

What a shame it’s coming to an end. ❤️

If DIY SOS ever makes a comeback, I’ll certainly have a few more in me! 💪🏻
