Sometimes the dream doesn’t die. It just evolves.

The jobs that didn’t make sense. The plans that changed. The doors that closed. Looking back, you may discover they were all leading somewhere you never could have planned for yourself.

What’s something in your life that didn’t go according to plan, but ended up leading you somewhere you’re grateful for today?

One of my favorite parts of my conversation with Fred Aebli was hearing the passion behind the way he teaches.

This quote really stuck with me because it’s true far beyond the classroom.

The moments we remember most are usually the ones we experienced fully — when creativity, movement, emotion, laughter, sound, and curiosity all came together. That’s why stories stick with us. It’s why music sticks with us. It’s why hands-on learning matters.

Fred doesn’t just teach technology. He creates experiences that people remember.

What does a LEGO chicken have to do with technology?

More than you’d think.

When Fred Aebli was looking for a way to teach students about communication and teamwork, he landed on an unexpected solution: a LEGO chicken.

The goal wasn’t really to build the chicken.

The goal was learning how to communicate clearly, work together, and solve problems when not everyone has all the information.

It’s a funny story, but it’s also a great reminder that some of the best lessons don’t come from a textbook.

Sometimes they come from a pile of plastic bricks and a challenge that seems completely ridiculous.

And, if you’re like me, those are usually the lessons that stick!

It has been an honor to have served as the Student Government Association President of Penn State Scranton for the last two years. This has been an honor, privilege, and experience that I’m holding close to myself for the rest of my life. 🤍💙

I want to thank YOU ALL for making this time what it was. The support I received from everybody is what kept me going. I’m honored to have received so many awards for all that has been accomplished and do know I think about you all when I look at them.

I’m excited to see what comes next for SGA, I wish the next administration nothing but the best. For me, it’s time I find my own path once again! 💙🤍
