💘End of an era💘
The closing of the & Other Stories office in Paris marks the end of a place, but definitely not the end of the story.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of the adventure from the very beginning, helping shape a concept that felt a little crazy at the time and, most importantly, meeting some truly extraordinary people along the way. People from everywhere, with completely different backgrounds, personalities and ways of seeing the world, who shaped me, inspired me, challenged me and taught me so much about fashion, creativity and work, but also simply about life.
We worked hard, laughed even harder, and travelled the world together from Mexico to Japan, the US to Turkey, China and, of course so many times Sweden (hello story hotel 😂). Somehow, it all became this very special mix of Scandinavian rigour and French joyful chaos, brought to life by the most international group of people.
There were endless projects, unforgettable trips, so many visual goals and presentations , slightly mad ideas always brought to life (hello @a.finck and amazing team), and those legendary parties several times a year always imagined and executed down to the tiniest detail(From the most absurd themes to the recycling bins specially dressed up for the occasion) , with themes, costumes and a level of creativity that sometimes knew absolutely no limits.
But more than anything, I remember the incredible team spirit. We mastered the art of feedback and, very un-Frenchly, learned to actually say thank you and tell people when they’d done a great job but also the true meaning of teamwork, and the simple joy of working, creating and making things happen together. The kind that means that, all these years later, so many of us are still connected, still friends, still there for one another.
So many friendships, so many faces, so many stories and a million memories that time hasn’t erased and that Carole continues to keep alive with so much love, care and attention.
An office is closing, but what a privilege it was to be part of this story.
So many memories, so many people, so much love.
Forever Stories .
Thank you Hennes , thank you Moritz ❤️

p r e f a l l 2 4 . 🤍 @the_lbp @vsj_consulting @bymalenebirger As a sort of counter to the dark and heavy times, Maja Dixdotter aimed for a light touch with this By Malene Birger collection. One of the ways she introduced it was through her use of a butterfly crochet on ivory separates, which was inspired by some vintage lace she found in her mother-in-law’s attic. In addition, she cut many of the pants and skirts for fluid movement and used a soft fluffy “eyelash” fabric for a kimono with a bit of built-in “quiver.”

The Greek-island mood from last season carried over in shell and column details worked into knits. Sun hats and fringe also had a vacation vibe, as did the shots of raspberry and blue in an otherwise neutral collection. Red thong sandals with hearts took love beyond an emoji. “I think it’s important to take a step back and think about fashion in another way,” said Dixdotter, who believes that her work should function in the real world. “We have to [focus on] what is important in fashion: You should feel good in it, you should feel strong. It should be comfortable, and it should be long-lasting. And it has to be honest in a way.”

By shooting the look book herself, using analog means, Dixdotter practiced the genuineness that she preaches. “It was nice just to dare to believe in the process itself and in creativity that comes when there’s not too much planning,” she said. That trusting, free, and optimistic spirit is also in the clothes.
