Dove Ellis Getting Killed with Geese ½ 🇺🇸 LA CA -> SAN DIEGO CA -> PHOENIX AZ -> FORT WORTH TX -> AUSTIN TX -> HOUSTON TX -> LOUISIANA -> ALABAMA -> ATLANTA GA Driving around a big country in our big van eating big food. America is a hellscape on many levels but its landscapes are at times beautiful and Geese are a great band I’m neither the first nor the last to mention the impact David Lynch’s films, music, art and wisdom have had on my life. It felt very special to make the pilgrimage over and at least say hello to a true hero of mine In my ears for this half Mahashmashana - Father John Misty Lots of Jack Dejonette RIP Various Positions - Leonard Cohen Before the Flood - Bob Dylan and The Band Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan Townes Van Zandt - Townes Van Zandt Laurel Halo - Atlas World of Echo - Arthur Russell We Three - Roy Haynes Phonetics On and On - Horsegirl Beverly Glenn Copeland - Beverly Glenn Copeland Scott - Scott Walker Gillian Welch and David Rawlings - Woodland Reading Room to Dream - David Lynch + Kristine McKenna War and War - Lázsló Krazsnahorkai

Every so often you see a brand new artist that is so exciting, so talented, so unique and so special that you just know they’re going to be a global superstar. His lyricism is wrapped in poetic beauty and complexity. I will never get bored of hearing @doveellis_ ‘s angelic voice. My peanut brain often finds the strength of the songwriting unfathomable , how can someone so young be so damn good? Fair fucking play. @matt_deakin_drums and @fredericdonlon also add such intricate finesse and brilliance to the songs to elevate them to another level. Special shout out to @fjphipps who’s been a mastermind behind the scenes and a truly inspiring artist manager. Ripping up the playbook , and growing an artist in an authentic, unique and original way. Making the whole of the world’s music industry chase a signature, all the while, putting the artist and their creative vision at the forefront of every decision made. If you don’t know who Dove Ellis is yet , you will soon believe me. Gonna bet everything I own on this sublime album winning a Mercury prize, truly a masterpiece. 🤝❤️🥹🥰🤝
