About a year my uncle who runs a championship soundsystem out of Birmingham and London gave me a usb stick full of dubplates and recordings from his collective that’s been running since the mid 80’s.

These samples are the DNA of my debut solo live ‘Iridescent Riddims’ 🇯🇲🧬

All new music, VIPs, and glimpses into my next EP.

‘Iridescent Riddims’ premieres tomorrow at 8:35pm @ Esplanade Tranquille @mutekmontreal

Behind the scenes footage of our latest collection with @theosmontreal

Produced by @bassa_______bassa, it’s important for us to work with like-minded creatives who both understand and live the cultural references we’re trying to capture.

Or in other words, fly uptown shit with a twist of 03’ Iverson.

@1___plus___1’s “Stay Barbaric” capsule collection is a loud reclamation of identity through an Afrocentric lens.

Drawing inspiration from African icons, ancestral histories and rich symbolism, the collection reimagines cultural traditions through distinct contemporary design, where heritage, modernity and identity converge.
