Last week, Anchor Faith Church had the opportunity to ignite the city and impact the nation through the sector of sport by investing in college athletes right here in our community.

We were grateful to host @flaglerwbb in Colorado, partnering with the coaching staff to organize four days of preseason leadership development and team building to prepare the Saints for a great season!

Our outreach team cheered on the Saints during their first scrimmage of the season at Colorado School of Mines. Off the court, a five-mile hike at 10,000 feet and challenging team workouts pushed the players physically and mentally. These shared challenges gave them a chance to build trust, encourage one another, and see what they can overcome together.

Through our Soul of the Saint conversations, we talked about the Heart of the Saint, the importance of supporting each other, and how each player’s mindset impacts the team as a whole. We also joined a local ministry to supply and stack firewood for families in need, putting into practice what it means to serve a purpose bigger than basketball.

AFC is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Flagler coaching staff and invest in these young women on and off the court. We love our Saints and are looking forward to a great season! Come cheer on the Saints at their first home game on November 18th at 6pm

Grateful to have been invited to the College Basketball Prospect ID Camp this weekend! I loved getting the opportunity to compete in drills and games while being coached by multiple college coaches. It was also great getting to talk with coaches, learn from their perspectives, and continue to grow as a player. Thank you to everyone who made this opportunity possible!
