PAST VG RIDERS: Presale opens October 31 with our lowest pricing of the year. Check your inbox soon for your private presale code. And this year, we’re doing things a little differently. The earlier you register, the less you pay. We’re moving to tiered pricing. Presale is the lowest price, then pricing increases as registration fills. The next increase happens after the first 100 riders. No complicated deadlines.

Tomorrow, I line up for the Leadville 100 MTB. Four months ago, I was lying on the ground at Sea Otter with a completely fractured femur. Surgery. A titanium rod. Screws. And a very different picture of what the next several months were supposed to look like. Since then, I have worked harder for a start line than I ever have in my life. There has been so much pain. Pain in rehab. Pain getting my strength back. Pain learning to trust my leg again. Long hours on the trainer, in the gym, on the bike, doing PT—and then doing a little more. There were plenty of days when progress felt painfully slow and plenty of moments when I wondered if Leadville was even realistic. But I kept showing up. Tomorrow isn’t really about a finishing time or a result. It’s about getting to that start line. It’s about looking back at everything my body has been through over the last four months and giving myself the chance to find out what I can do. I don’t know exactly what tomorrow will bring. I know it’s going to hurt. I know Leadville never gives anything away. But I’ve already fought incredibly hard just to earn the opportunity to stand there tomorrow morning with my bike. Four months ago, this start line felt impossible. Tomorrow, I get to stand on it. And then I get to see what I’m made of. Leadville 100 MTB. Let’s go.
