could say a lot about this little block night, but to put it simply, it was incredibly fun to let others use my intaglio plate to print their own little chickens c':

There’s a community printing press in my town and I just learned that Wednesday nights are open to the public to come for free and work on projects or learn to make prints from recycled materials. Of course I had to make a fountain pen nib, and I also tried my hand at a catfish! @thelzzrd taught me how to make plates with tetrapak material (the plastic-y cardboard that cartons of broth come in) and print on a small press she made from a sizzix die cutting machine. Then she and @flakybiscuitspress showed me some of their incredible work (last 2 photos). I can hardly wait for next week!

We haven’t even planted anything yet but the scent of the viburnums is EVERYWHERE. Just intoxicating. The swallowtails are out in force, too. This one’s digging on the “Firewitch” dianthus. Such a great name. Firewitch. #bellaflorafarm #springishere

Skeleton side view print 💀

It's been such a blast getting more into this new medium- it was exactly what I needed right now! The process of designing, carving, and the absolute joy of printing

Thankyou @flakybiscuitspress for getting me so into linoleum cutting /carving other materials as well! Looks out for our soap stone & slate cuts coming soon
