A LOVE THAT WILL NOT LET YOU GO

When George Matheson was 19 years old, his doctor told him he would become blind. Two years later, he became completely blind.

"I cannot live with a blind man," his fianceé told him, returned his ring and left him. George was heartbroken. Everything seemed unbearable.

However, his sister took care of him until she got married. So, on the evening of his sister's wedding day, with a lacuna in his heart, poor George wrote this hymn: 'O Love that will not let me go, with Albert L. Peace setting the words into music.

His first draft of the hymn was his final draft, which he wrote in five minutes. It was his only hymn. In addition, he never got married.

George Matheson lost a fiancée's love and a sister's protection and care. But he felt a love that is perpetual. The love of Christ.

There is a love that will not let you go. Bask in it.
Have a historic week ahead!
