For ten years, @kikis.beach has been more than a destination. It’s been part of how Sahel feels.

The memories, the people, the music, the nights, the moments that became stories. And after ten years, the feeling isn’t changing, it’s only getting bigger.

Here’s to the next ten years of @kikis.beach, and everything still to come.

What started in Sahel became more than a destination. It became a feeling, a culture, and a way of life. Now, gnk is taking that feeling beyond Egypt and into the world. This is the next chapter.

Ten years of Kiki’s, and a decade of GNK Group helping shape the rhythm of Sahel. What Kareem Nabil and Ahmed El Ganzoury began with Kiki’s has grown beyond a single destination, becoming part of a summer culture defined by the places we return to, the people we meet, and the moments that stay with us. Because Sahel has never been just a place, it’s a feeling.

A Rolls-Royce has rarely had trouble crossing a border. King Farouk commissioned his own red Phantom III decades ago in 1939, and, in the years since, Egyptian owners have simply bought theirs elsewhere and brought them home. James Crichton, Rolls-Royce’s regional director for the Middle East and Africa, had been counting.

Those cars, already prowling Egyptian roads without an official dealer to answer for them, became evidence of a market hiding in plain sight. After years of visits and two years of deliberation, Rolls-Royce has opened temporary sales and service facilities in Cairo; the permanent address is due before the end of 2026.

For its formal introduction, the marque has occupied a beachfront villa in Marassi and built a Black Badge Cullinan to match the view. The Spirit of Marassi wears Submariner Blue, Andalusian White and English White, with gold detailing; its fascia moves from water into sand, Egyptian turquoise sits in the rotary control, and the seats borrow their embroidery from Cairo’s Khayamiya tentmakers. Parked beside the pool, the car, water and Mediterranean seem to have agreed on a palette.

Crichton will consider Egypt a success when its culture begins appearing in privately commissioned cars. The real question, then, is not how many Rolls-Royces Egypt will buy, but what Egyptians will persuade Rolls-Royce to make.
