Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver, October 2024
📸 Nikon D300 + 28mm f/2.8 + LR

During my usual coffee run on break, I heard a voice—like a rockstar—singing, inspiring the bustling Lonsdale Quay near the Seabus station. I stopped for a moment, captivated by the music and the heart-stealing strumming. By the way— call him Flash.

Our first show will take place Monday September 30th 2024 @greenautomusic at 7:00PM. Infinite thanks to Green Auto for helping us out and providing a space for our first show back! We’re also excited to announce that our feature for our first show back is Flash Being @flash336699!!!

Alberta, Canada. born and raised. Worked most of his life in positions that never felt right on the soul. Aaron Bradley “Flash” has been through ups and downs throughout life. Growing up listening to all styles/genres of music. His hearts always been in tune with poetry, spoken word. And artists such as 2pac, Eazy-E, Dead Prez, Wu Tang Clan. Underground hiphop Merkules, Chris Webby, Tom Macdonald, and many other artists are amongst his favourites. After battling many addictions, still feeling the presence of the demons that come with these hinderances. many fallen brothers and sisters to cancer, as well the fentanyl crisis. along with his parents passing from cancer. He took it upon himself to jump on a peddle bike, riding over 1000kms 400+ miles in 2019, from Edmonton Alberta to Vancouver for a children’s cancer fundraiser called the great cycle challenge. He’s been passionately persistently with confidence finding his voice through hiphop. Before the covid pandemic, performing at poetry slams, and street freestyling. He now records working with multiple producers/ beatmakers his style, a unique sound, melodic conscious hiphop/RNB. Utilizing his flow and much wisdom instilled along a spiritual journey. Plans are to take the hiphop world by storm. And surprises along the way might include some rock, country, grunge, blues being another favourite genre of “Flash’s” he’s here and doesn’t give up! “It’s only a dream, until we decide to take action.. than it becomes reality”

Thanks to @kyle6331 for making the graphic on the first slide.

Moments from July. Feedback that we continually receive is that we create events where anyone feels comfortable to perform - no matter the experience level. This is exactly what we’re about. Pictured here are incredibly talented humans who are on stage for their first time, 3rd time or 20th time. What a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Thank you to everyone who came out and to the performers who made this a night to remember. Also big shout out to @batchvancouver for the stunning patio and to @benturnbullmusic for these rad photos.

See you all again soon,
Purple Lining ✌️
