Reflecting on this Thank You card I made recently and how it represents all the goals I’m most proud of accomplishing in 2021. When the year began I had ideas for paintings and I knew how I wanted them to feel, but I wasn’t quite sure how to execute them. I didn’t want to repeat myself. I wanted to create something new and different.

It wasn’t until the middle of the year that I found myself with the time and space that I needed to simply explore and play with paint. In the process, I found a new direction for my art that I was excited about and that allowed me to express what I was feeling. I made new paintings and created a new website - both of which I had been aching to do for years and in 2021, I finally did it!✨

Accomplishing these goals is what brought me to this moment - holding this handmade Thank You card for a friend who had connected with my new paintings, found them on my website and then choose to become a collector. I’m honored to have my art included in their space.💖

Looking forward to writing many more Thank You cards in 2022!🌟

Special thanks to @nathanfowkesart for always inspiring us and showing us how things are done. Nathan has influenced us not just with his art but his humble personality and generous attitude towards knowledge sharing. We can only wish to be half as awesome as him! It was a great honor to have our opening the same night as his... We gotta #NoPleinNoGain to get to his level one day! .
