Was so incredibly great to catch up with my great friend/legend Steve Lukather the other night and getting watch him kill it with his legendary band Toto. Steve is a monster musical genius, but one of the warmest, funniest/fun real guys out there. (His far too kind words had me a bit emotional afterwards to be honest). Was an honor to catch up after the gig. Made some other wonderful friends at the show as well.. Hope we can do it again sometime sooner than last! #SteveLukather #Toto #RyanMcGarvey #HoldTheLine #Africa

Currently on tour again here in the US with @britfloyd . One thing thats always been consistent throughout my playing career has been my choice of guitars and strings. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a 28 year working relationship with @music_man . These guitars are incredible, the feel, the tone, the tuning stability is insane. I can’t go anywhere without a @music_man guitar! I’m currently touring a Cutlass loaded with David Gilmour EMG’s, a Silhouette Special loaded with @dimarzioinc Fast Track 1 and Area single coils, plus my very special custom mahogany Axis Super Sport loaded with @dimarzioinc Fast Track 1 and Injector single coils. @dimarzioinc ClipLock straps on all guitars, @ernieball 10-52 Cobalt strings. 📸 @bethvezzosi #musicmanguitars #ernieballmusicman #britfloyd #dimarziopickups #pinkfloyd

To have a guitar that honors both her legacy and my family’s musical journey is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. It’s a reminder of where I come from, the shoulders I stand on, and the responsibility I feel to keep making music with honesty, passion, and aloha.

My deepest mahalo to everyone at Ernie Ball Music Man for this incredible gift, your friendship, and for recognizing what this means to me and my ʻohana. Moments like these aren’t just about guitars—they’re about preserving stories that continue to inspire future generations.

Sometimes the best guitars aren’t the ones that stay in production—they’re the ones that quietly become favorites. This Balboa Blue Ernie Ball Music Man Armada is exactly that for me. As Music Man’s first neck-through production guitar, it brought something completely different to the lineup with its dual humbuckers, hardtail bridge, and incredible sustain. I’ve got a set of Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwound 9s on it, and the feel and tone have been inspiring. I hope this video gives you an idea of just how special this guitar really is. @ernieball @music_man @grooveplant_hi #electricguitar #armadaguitar #SLO #ernieballmusicman #hawaii

Balls ARE Best! I’m always so honored to be a member of the Ernie Ball family! From their Music Man instruments, to their superior accessories, to the strings that have been behind most of the greatest guitarists in history. I’m beyond excited everytime I get to see my name listed on the packaging of my favorite guitar strings that I’ve proudly used since I was a small child! This is a great care package that they immediately got to me as soon as I inquired… We’re so happy to find your outfit. My paddleboard with these incredible new flat ribbon patch cables! They’re absolutely great and I can’t recommend enough. I was able to check them out at Tone Shop Guitars when I was in town for our sold out show at Kessler Theatre, a few weeks ago in Dallas, Texas. I immediately wrote the company of how impressed that was, and I am so excited you’ll be now rocking them on my paddleboard! Here’s some before, and after the excitement.. #ryanmcgarvey #ernieball #ballsarebest #guitarstrings #patchcables

🎸 NEW GEAR ALERT 🎸

Just checking out some of the new Ernie Ball Jacquard Straps, and as always, the quality is top-notch.

Comfortable, durable, and available in some seriously cool designs. Whether you’re playing gigs, recording in the studio, or just practicing at home, a good strap makes a difference.

Mahalo to Ernie Ball for 14 years of support and for continuing to make products that musicians can count on.

🤙 Which design is your favorite?

Mahalo EB for the new Strings and tuners! #

“Tone isn’t just what you hear… it’s what you carry with you.”

This one right here means a lot to me.

We spend so much time chasing tone — new guitars, amps, pedals, plugins… always thinking the next piece of gear is gonna unlock something. And don’t get me wrong, I love great gear as much as anyone… but the truth is, tone lives deeper than that.

It’s in your hands.
It’s in your touch.
It’s in the hours nobody sees.

It’s in the sacrifices, the discipline, the late nights, the gigs where you had to push through no matter what… that all becomes your sound.

This is my Music Man Silhouette Special HSH — built in San Luis Obispo, California… about 12-13 years old and still one of my favorite voices. Possibly an artist custom with that beautiful gloss birdseye maple neck, piezo system, and those signature Music Man pickups that just respond to everything I put into it. This beauty has been on stage. With Fleetwood Mac’s @mickfleetwoodofficial @zztop’s @billyfgibbons @doobiebrothersofficial’s #PatSimmons @aerosmith’s @iamstevent @unclewilliek etc just some of the greatest musicians and musical artists of all time!

Strung up with Ernie Ball Paradigm 9s — light, expressive, and they let me speak freely whether I’m playing soft and soulful or digging in with some fire.

But at the end of the day… none of it matters without the work.

I’m beyond grateful… this coming May marks 14 years as an official Ernie Ball Music Man artist. Mahalo to the Ball family for believing in me and allowing me to grow with instruments that inspire me every single day.

From the studio to the stage… the journey continues.
